Rashford was the best wideman at Utd last season? As we stsnd, there is no way that any right winger we have is consistent enough to keep Rashford out and have Sancho on the left. Especially if the rumours of moving Mason back inside are true.
We literally played Rashford himself on the right wing last season to keep him in the side when Pogba kept him out.
Rashford was the best wideman last season no doubt. Even carrying injury. But saying that, what competition was there? There were spells where it was clear Rashford shouldn't be playing, he was empty. Having Sancho will mean that there is less pressure on Rashford, and our other forwards. One of them can now be benched if they aren't in form. That's a good thing.

Mason is still young and developing his game, he can play where needed and do a good job while learning. Cavani should still be first choice striker.

I’d love Evra to post a video this afternoon, with him sitting in his car at Carrington. He says “Haha I love this game...today is a BIG day!”... camera pans to his right and Sancho is sat there in the new United home top.

But im saying is the players behind Rashford and Sancho arent good enough to keep Rashford out if he drops in form as we saw when Pogba had an excellent run on the left last season.
Ive seen a lot of posts like these and it feels like im the only one to see Mason have large spells of bad form last season and start as well but its never called out. I just dont see kids in Mason and Diallo being good enough just yet that Marcus has to be on top form to start.

Greenwood was in great form towards the end of the season, if it was a case of playing Greenwood at his best and Rashford at his worst? It's Sancho on the left and Greenwood right for me.

I love Rashford but we have to be realistic, he's not been great in the last 6 months and is playing through multiple injuries. The club owe it to him to get adequate cover, let him rest + recover and then get back to the guy that was rivaling Mbappe at one point.

That’s just a scenario, we do have a squad and Fred/ Mctominay were our main pairing there last season, Grealish would contribute a lot more to our team than Pogba ever has.

Grealish, Sancho, Rashford, Greenwood, Cavani, Bruno.

Pogba was playing on the left a lot when he played, we’d be replacing him with a far superior attacking player in Grealish.
Please just stop.

Has anyone ever seen Evra and @Pexbo in the same room?

According to the Times article which is behind a paywall, recently, BVB tried to offer Sancho a new and improved contract which he rejected, my question is why would they do that knowing the fact that they had a gentleman agreement to let Sancho move if the buying club offered the right fee??

here is the link from Eurosport.

To improve their bargaining position. If we didn't come up with the money, he would just have a year left and his value would plummet.

I agree Rashford needs a break but I cant agree with his form during that period being used against him. I just looked and he has 36 goal contributions in 51 odd games last season. I mean those are excellent numbers and he played injured for most of it. Its not as if it were just goal contributions, his interplay throughout the entire season with Shaw was among the best in Europe imo.
Sancho is a great signing but Marcus puts up similar numbers and I think people should temper their expectations just a little bit.
Its Rashford Greenwood Sancho as a starting front 3 for me but i see Sancho v Rashford being a toxic thread for the next few seasons.

It’s not renegading on the gentleman’s agreement though is it? It’s giving him another option. Maybe they were testing if it was a financial thing or a “need to feel wanted” thing.

The biggest indication that this is definitely happening is we’ve not had Zorc spouting his mouth off every 5 minutes like last year.

When United announce it the tweet should just be a picture of Sancho holding up the shirt with the caption “you love to see it”.

I am not saying they renegaded but it's in a poor taste, they know very well he wants to leave, they know very well that United is serious about getting him, there is an ongoing negotiations which has advanced, United is actually offering a huge fee to get him, so attempting to offer him a new deal is at least not considering the player's wishes who wanted to move last season but stayed on and didn't kick up a fuss and did very well for them too.

I know what you mean, but it seems unnecessary, it is common knowledge that Sancho wants to leave, BVB fans already know that since a year ago, the fans also know that BVB is doing everything possible to get the highest fee they can get for him off United, in my view, I don't think BVB fans will blame their club for Sancho's leaving.

The strange thing is - if United sign Sancho - our England 11 would quite possibly beat the England 11 without United-players

Henderson - Shaw, Maguire, Tuanzebe, AWB - Garner, Jones- Sancho, Lingard, Rashford - Greenwood

I mean granted our central midfield is a bit week - but apart from that, we are probably better than the England 11
Vs Pickford, TAA, Stones, Gomez, Chilwell, Henderson, Bellingham, Mount, Saka, Kane, Grealish? Would be a good match.

I wouldn't be a fan of doing any of the "last laugh" stuff. Just get the player in, shake hands with Dortmund and move on.

Go back in a years time for Haaland and/or Bellingham.

Ya I agree. No need For childish antics. If that’s how Dortmund want to behave, that’s their problem.

Sure, but his game time will be on the expense or shared among other players such as Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho. I just don’t see Ole willing to do so, as both are young, English and are his favourites, and Ole does not tend to rotate his key players. Should Pogba stay he would be preferred on the left sometimes too, which would further limit Diallo’s game time. And assume we sell Martial in future there will be surely replacement who should be better.

Any this would be order of our priority for front 3:

1. Sancho (RW, LW)
2. Rashford (LW, FW)
3. Greenwood (RW, FW)
4. Cavani (FW)
5. Martial (FW, LW)
6. Pogba (LW)
7. Diallo (RW)
Hannibal's and option on the LW too btw, and Elanga while not having a similarly high ceiling may be among the queue knocking on the door.

Feck that. Dortmund would be a cnut when it comes to transfer now matter how you treat them.

We should faceswap Sanchez with Zorc playing the piano for the Sancho reveal

At least this time they can’t wish him luck in the Europa.
But it would not surprise me if they came up with “Sancho is joining the losing Europa finalists”

Sounds like Rashford will most likely miss a large chunk of the start of next season so I expect Sancho to start on the left with Greenwood on the right. That'll boil some piss
I’m a huge England fan, but if that is true then what the hell were United thinking?

If he needs an operation then it should have been done the day after the EL final so that he had the next 2.5 months of the off season to recover.

Send the paper contract over.

A bit of invisible ink next to the signature box stating upon signing, the above price is void and Dortmund agree to sell for £40 million.

Like what? I was only saying that having Sancho means we have more options and that's a good thing as it means we don't have to keep playing out of form players. I acknowledge Rashford's numbers but there was no way he should have been playing as many matches as he did last season. Rashford needs to sort his injury problems out so we can get the best out of him.

Mason wasn't on form all season you're right, but then again, nor did he play every match because Rashford was a starter whether in form or not. Martial was next to useless too which didn't help. Now, fingers crossed, we add Sancho, that gives us more options.
