The scouse accent has always been an accent I disliked alot, can understand it alright though, have heard worse than Carraghers.

Bet him and Nev are having a field day with Taylor atm.

Getting a bit worked up. Only dogs could hear him by the end, there.

I held Carragher in high regard until reading an article of his in one of the weekend papers, in which he spouted the usual ABU nonsense we've become accustomed to.

He basically said United will suffer without Fergie, not because he was a fantastic manager, but because we will miss his influence on referees. He used as an example the Liverpool v United match last year, before which Fergie apparently complained United don't get penalties at Anfield. According to Jamie, the ref proceeded to award a very soft penalty in order to placate Sir Alex. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that a blatant foul on Valencia as he surged into the penalty area?

To be fair, he's been reasonably competent and not unduly biased on Sky so far though.

He's a bit keen to emphasise something without actually saying anything.

He'll calm down in a few weeks but you can tell Neville has been doing it for a bit. Comes across much more composed and insightful.

He is so naturally loud that he is trying to keep his voice down and ends up whispering. I felt he was going to swear too. Needs to just think a bit more.

He's clearly quite nervous, but so was neville the first time. He'll tone it down when he becomes more familiar with it.

Only saw the pre-game stuff but didn't mind him at all.

The 10 minutes of Arsenal slagging off was amusing, mostly because nearly everything he said was correct.

I hope they stick with him. He's not afraid to say what he thinks instead of what he thinks people want to hear. There's only really him and Neville who do that.

Anyone who can't understand him must have inherited Carlos Tevez's ears. It's really not that hard.

I thought Neville was trying to balance it by coming across as more statesman-like, Carra went a bit doo-lally lah.

He's shit at football analysis, and he has a shit accent. He's not contributing much other than the most obvious junk; and it seems like the producers are purposefully giving him extra talking time for whatever reason when he's not even saying anything of note, and then asking Gary to chime in with some actual football discussion now again.

Terrible.

Why does Carragher sound like he's about to start crying when he is in mid sentence?

You need to clear out your dirty water or something.

The only thing that is 'pathetic' is how uptight you are getting on a subject like Jamie Carraghers punditry!

The idea of you fuming behind your keyboard about it has brightened up my Monday evening however so thank you.
TBH, that would put him between screen and keyboard, hands behind back, like Jerry Lee Lewis.
I can see why that vision would amuse you.
In fact, I'm impressed too.
