What ever about Lucky Sevilla, we must be one of the unluckiest clubs in the world.
First goal bad defending, but two ricochets and game after game we don't seem to get the rub of the green unlike Liverpool.

  • Rashford, one of the best players in the world this year injured going into the game.
  • Fernandes booked for absolutely nothing and misses the second leg.
  • Red card not given that would have been nailed on if it happens the other way.
  • Varane injured during the game.
  • Martinez injured during the game, with no subs left.
  • First goal flies in off two United players.
  • Second goal probably going out for a fecking throw in, and of course, finds a way to fly in off a United player.
How is it possible to be that jammy in one game of football?
Not to mention they should have been 5-0 down at half time after the battering we gave their goal.

To be fair we were absolutely crap in the 2nd half.
That tends to happen when you replace players like Varane, Bruno and Martial with the likes of Maguire, Elanga and Weghorst.

Really is a joke how bad our options are at the moment. City would be bringing on the likes of Laporte, Bernardo Silva and Alvarez.

Well yes I agree but I think we actually had enough to bring off Varane (injury), Martial (match fitness) and Antony (red waiting to happen) without needing to bring Weghorst or Elanga on.

Keep Bruno on he's suspended next week anyway. Maguire for Varane, Eriksen for Martial move Bruno up, Fred (better than Elanga and would have been more help for Malacia) for Antony move Sancho right and then if we got the 3rd Pellestri for Sancho.

And leave the last sub until late in case we need to bring someone so it doesn't leave us down to 10.

Very poor game management from ETH last night.

The really gloomy thing is Mitten talking about how they rested 6-7 players because their weekend game is more important. Then they get a result. They'll be well up for the 2nd leg, there won't be any United old boy saying "we'll blow them away in 20 minutes" this time around. They'll have the ref singing their tune in all likelihood too.

Jammy Sevilla incidentally is also a Spanish tribute act to a famous uk children’s tv host. Work has taken a down turn for poor Jammy in recent times though.

One positive is that cruzcampo is a terrible beer but tastes nice in Seville.

That's a pretty big plus.

Jammy Sevilla sounds like a Spanish version of a 1970s BBC TV personality.

I agree. If we had gone 3 up then maybe take Bruno off. I didn’t feel Weghorst bought anything to this match and should have back heeled it to possibly get a 3rd for us. (I was sat at the down the other end though so couldn’t see it very well) . Antony played well but could do with not aiming kicks at players off the ball therefore running the risk of a red card. Elanga was pretty non existent and Pellistri didn’t really get time to get into it. Ive not watched it back on tv so may have missed some things. Fred would have

Well they haven't been jammy this half. We're lucky to be just one down. The offside was far tighter than it first looked, too.

Surely the second half will be better.

2 own goals and a horrific error. Sitters missed in 2020 semifinal. Hard to explain.

Harry Maguire definitely their best player, a goal and an assist for him too, without him we'd be a lot more comfortable...

They’re a bunch of diving crooks. If refs punished them properly they wouldn’t have half the record they have in Europa.

Did they score one normal goal in the entire competition?

Every goal I saw was either some jammy weird shit or an OG

They’re a weird team. They’re a CL team constantly winning the b tier tournament.
Would another CL team who constantly gave 100 percent to beating EL teams be this successful?

I used to like the Sevilla years ago with Kanoute, Fabiano, Rakitic, Keita but this side is cnutish to the core.

Their magic voodoo in this competition is insane.

Can't think of anything like it in all of sport.

Again and again and again. You have to give them credit. They know how to get the job done. The Real Madrid of the Europa League.
