Could've been worse. At least he's not in an olygarch country like the players who pretend to be woke and go to an arab club.

18 months without a goal/assist was it?That's harsh.
While it's easy to say he shouldn't have been a starter for us, the reality is that he outperformed our other options for the majority of his time here. So we'd have been even worse off it we'd sold him early. It was only in his last couple of years where it obviously all fell apart and he was dreadful.
He would’ve jumped at the chance to go to Saudi.Could've been worse. At least he's not in an olygarch country like the players who pretend to be woke and go to an arab club.
Soju think it was the right move for him?Only if you endorse selling your Seoul for money. No real surprise as the move has been Incheon closer for days.
Korea defining move for himSoju think it was the right move for him?
The lifestyle in Seoul is fascinating if you have money of course. Koreans also love fashion and football, especially United.Probably JLingz driven, as in a commercial decision.
I think it makes sense from that perspective too.
As for the footballing side of things, I'm not sure how much it matters to him how that goes at this point.

I don't particulatly dislike the lad, unlike many on here, but "star" is a little bit of a stretch. The lifestyle in Seoul is fascinating if you have money of course. Koreans also love fashion and football, especially United.
It would be a good and smart business opportunity for Lingard.
He is also the first real European football star who will play in the Korean league, no?

Yeah but he did score on possibly the last kick of the season against Leicester and destroyed someone who had bet that he won't have a goal or an assist till the end of the season18 months without a goal/assist was it?

oh my god he’s so fecking ANNOYING
I presume you saw that bit you bolded and jumped to respond without reading the next two sentences? As I said - 'It was only in his last couple of years where it obviously all fell apart'. That 18 months was part of that. Up until that period he was better than his competitors.18 months without a goal/assist was it?
Wasnt that when Kasper Schmeichel felt bad for Lingard and decided to just give him a goal?Yeah but he did score on possibly the last kick of the season against Leicester and destroyed someone who had bet that he won't have a goal or an assist till the end of the season
Made me chuckleSeoul FC announce the signing of their new star player, Hee Soh Crap.
very goodYung Jesse Lingard
laughed more then I should’ve there PaulSeoul FC announce the signing of their new star player, Hee Soh Crap.
He could have been a decent squad/backup player if we had a stronger squad overall. The fact that we didn't just highlighted the fact that he wasn't good enough, and he started more games than someone of his quality should have.I remember when people used to argue he was a good squad player. I guess all it takes is being a part of the academy and any old shite will be tolerated in our squad
Just complete fantasy. He was terrible for the majority of his career at United, he lived off a 3 month purple patch that he never got close to replicating. That's harsh.

Dunno, think a lot of us realised how shit he was while he was here. You dont realize how bad our players are until they leave the club. It's amazing how many players leave and can even get to mid table teams squads.
He did score for us in 3 consecutive games at Wembley though, im sure there arent many others who have done that.Dunno, think a lot of us realised how shit he was while he was here.
That's hilarious, because a week before the game I dreamt he'd score. When he came on I, along with 3 of my mates all watching it together, decided to bet he'd score because of it. Suffice to say, limbs were everywhere once he did and it's just about the only good memory we have of him.Yeah but he did score on possibly the last kick of the season against Leicester and destroyed someone who had bet that he won't have a goal or an assist till the end of the season

Nah, he was actually a good squad player under Mourinho and maybe in the early days under Ole. He seems to be very immature though and if you're not switched on you won't get anywhere, especially when you were a hardworking squad player with very limited talents. Just misguided. Happens. Shame he didn't try to make it work at West Ham, a huge opportunity lost for him.I remember when people used to argue he was a good squad player. I guess all it takes is being a part of the academy and any old shite will be tolerated in our squad
To get as many games for United on the wages he was on with his level of talent, I'd argue he's had a fantastic career. Sucks for us though. What a waste of a football career.
No wonder we’ve been shite for a decade when we’ve had wastes of space like him playing for us.
I dont think anyone would have realistically said he was korean league level, most of us thought mid-low premier league the most critical said championship but Korean league is whole another low.Dunno, think a lot of us realised how shit he was while he was here.
Which of our other players were better and deserved to be starting ahead of him?Just complete fantasy. He was terrible for the majority of his career at United, he lived off a 3 month purple patch that he never got close to replicating.
He thinks it's a cool move but constant adoring curious attention is not what he might get. 10 years ago maybe, but foreign players are old hat in the K league and there's no exotica level that will get you off scrutiny. Kinsman is getting pelters from all angles for his tactical uselessness and 2 lazy performances in a row will have Lingard looking daft. Plenty of good homegrown players in SK.I think it's a cool move
The US? By the way SK with their Chaebols are far more oligarchical than most.Could've been worse. At least he's not in an olygarch country like the players who pretend to be woke and go to an arab club.
