Im sure he's a red devil, as bad and dissapointed as he might be he'll surely be secretly happy.

His foul was the reason it was awarded, the lead up to it is irrelevant as no foul was committed prior.
Don't be ridiculous, he is put in a close to impossible position through no fault of his own. Lead up is irrelevant, ffs.

He was horrendous after Soyuncu went off against Bournemouth too, when he should have been calming everything down. He was all over the place that day and lost it again today.

I have a soft corner for Evans; unlike the likes of Welbeck and Cleverley, he has never had a bad word to say about us and is still a quality player.

His main issue has always been his mentality and he chokes when he is the main main in pressure scenarios.

So the penalty was awarded as choudhury gave the ball away outside the box. Cool thanks for your contribution.

Look he's a good defender, but imo, he has always been extremely overrated by our fans in general.

Penalty was awarded because Choudury lost the ball in close to the worst possible position with the CB's spread wide and having to chase a quick striker with a head start, just trying to make some sort of impact on the finish. But continue to be obtuse.

So penalty was awarded as the ball was given away. I thought it was because Evans fouled him? Thanks for clearing that up  . But pretty sure the ref gave it as there was a foul.

I have the funny feeling you are not debating this in good faith, but Utd are in the CL, have your fun, it is all good.

This was Classic United Evans today, a good player in spells but can be relied on to shit the bed when under pressure.

He had tried picking 2nd yellow in closing stages of Spurs match to avoid all this. Too bad ref didn't oblige then and Evans was forced to give penalty, waste Leicester free-kicks and corners through fouling and finally pick up a red to round off a stellar performance. Good lad.

He’s generally been good for us this season.

I’d say many co sided him our player of the season until the league shut down.

Like the rest of our squad though, wasn’t great post Christmas but has been dog awful since the restart. He’s not a leader as seen in the awful Bournemouth debacle last week.

Terrible tackle today and VAR didn’t even need to have a look at it. Fully deserved the red.

He was left with little option for the penalty though, Choudhury needs to have a word with himself.

He's always had a bit of that in him, he crippled that Bolton lad and kung fu kicked Drogba in the chest.

You can't be serious. To say he was at fault for that penalty is beyond silly.
No I’m saying he committed the foul, the penalty was awarded due to said foul. That’s why he was booked and a penalty was given. But carry on with the I’m saying he created the situation thing.... Agent Evans did us proud.

We played the long game when we sold him, but agent Evans activated at the right time.

He was good yesterday. The only foxes player that showed up.

Liecester look broken. I wonder if he'd fancy a change.

I would take a Evans as a back up CB to replace Maguire's position in the squad (hopefully we get a decent fee for him)

I think he's good on the ball and would suit Ten Hag's style. Remember Pep wanted him not long ago.

Evans' body is giving up on him sadly, I think he'll stay with us though on greatly reduced terms, that said he is a free agent this summer

I feel like his experience and presence could be important to get you straight back up.

I hope you do come straight back up, it’s a shame to see one of the greatest stories in PL history not even in the PL next season

What was that Dean Smith appointment all about

Potter didn't want it after he got sacked, Smith was at least the 3rd choice, had we sacked Rodgers at the world cup break we stay up

Why do we pine after players who left after proving they weren’t good enough?

Evans was a decent CB, not elite level but reliable, at his peak he was as good as the players that have ultimately replaced him, he's too old now though

Thank god some of our fans don't support Chelsea, who let players go that have gone on to become world class.

Meanwhile, this forum - every single year - bumps threads about Smalling, Welbeck and Evans. It's very peculiar.

I never was a big fan of Evans. Always seemed to be out muscled but that’s not saying he was poor he just wasn’t the level we needed. He’s a decent player like you said but he would be another deadwood

Him, Welbeck, Andreas, Cleverley, Gomes and fecking Ravel Morrison have had threads bumped saying we should sign them back. Just baffles me.

Two relegations on his fabled career record since he left United
