Kidd to Dallas a done deal

Dallas would have been giving up a king's ransom for Kidd in that deal, that certainly was one of those win now deals

I'm sure Cuban will "sweeten" the deal by giving George a few extra dollars. Or they'll just repackage the deal. One rumor mentioned is that Harris will have a contract extension which will increase his salary and allow Dallas to reduce players involved for salary purposes. Then I'd expect Cuban to fire George's ass. It is also been said that NJ will buy out Stackhouse to free up salary cap space this summer and Stack will resign with Dallas.

George would love that, he contract completely bought out, and then the ability to go sign for another team

If that were to happen the mavs would have an even greater shot of winning it all. I don't even know why the nets would want stackhouse on their team unless they were to get rid of jefferson or carter. the rumour is also out there of carter to pacers for JO. That would give the nets a better team with harris, stackhouse, jefferson and JO. Also that got that other point guard williams something who is pretty good so they might go with him starting along side harris or something like that. But if mavs could get it done without giving up stackhouse it would be a good trade for them.

I don't think he would be allowed to resign with Dallas for six months
