Karim having an off day.
I think Ceballos dived in the previous play.Another penalty. Also either Ceballos is an all time diver or there should have been a third
And another miss
Crazy stat: he has missed today the same amount as in his previous 411 games at Real MadridMaybe it was for the best for him not to take the pens during Ronnie's reign.
Wait that can't be right? Didn't he miss one like 2 weeks ago ?Crazy stat: he has missed today the same amount as in his previous 411 games at Real Madrid
Nah. We live and die with him. If he wants to take them, he doesRamos was the one to take them after Ronnie left right?
Maybe they should change it from karim , it could cost them in ucl.
You might regret that one when he misse at 90 th minute against city in the second leg.Nah. We live and die with him. If he wants to take them, he does
If he does that's ok. You don't undermine your best player, talisman, heart and soul of the team, who carried you on his shoulders all season long and is the only reason you're there in the first placeYou might regret that one when he misse at 90 th minute against city in the second leg.
Hypothesis aside I guess you're right you give it to your best player to not deflate his ego.
Apparently he missed his first penalty at Madrid this very same season.Wait that can't be right? Didn't he miss one like 2 weeks ago ?
Also he hasn't taken that many pens to begin with so most of it must be from this season.
Ok that's not a good sign bit looking at his ballon d'or worthy season, it doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.Apparently he missed his first penalty at Madrid this very same season.
yeah , you're right on that one.If he does that's ok. You don't undermine your best player, talisman, heart and soul of the team, who carried you on his shoulders all season long and is the only reason you're there in the first place
So it's 7 points now. Hopefully Barcelona will want to contribute accelerating this.Ah finally. We win!
30 goals excluding penalties. Not exactly unimpressive...How many penalties does Benzema get?? He's not even a master at pens or something.
His goal tally this season would look far less impressive without it.
Just puts into perspective how good Suarez's 40 goal season in La Liga was.
4 points left. If Barcelona don't win their next two we're champions by the time we play CitySo it's 7 points now. Hopefully Barcelona will want to contribute accelerating this.
Still very good obviously but including the penalties the numbers look a different level to this.30 goals excluding penalties. Not exactly unimpressive...
Yes, that Suarez season was monstrous but also he was part of the MSN. They scored 120+ goals between the 3 of them
Txuri urdin txuri urdin maitea!Txuri urdin txuri urdin aurrera!4 points left. If Barcelona don't win their next two we're champions by the time we play City
Oh yes, completely forgot the Cadiz game4 points left. If Barcelona don't win their next two we're champions by the time we play City
I mean without penalties Salah has 24 goals. Lewandowski 39. Benzema is probably going to score ~35 NPG, which is a huge return. Pretty much only Messi, Cristiano, Suarez and Lewandowski have done better afaik. And then you throw in the 14 assists and everything else he brings to the table - just look at the work he does to set up our third tonight...Still very good obviously but including the penalties the numbers look a different level to this.
I am not disagreeing but just pointing out that a year ago (or a week…) you would have never ever expected this sentence from yourselfEdu off. Struggled a bit early on, got that ridiculous yellow for not even a foul, and is definitely not a lone pivot. But grew into the game, created the second goal and has been our best player after Rodrygo
Well yeah, Camavinga wasn't our player a year agoI am not disagreeing but just pointing out that a year ago (or a week…) you would have never ever expected this sentence from yourself
Last season was a unique season tbf, and we had a small squadPintus is performing some type of dark magic, last year Real had like 60+ injuries and could run around for like 10 minutes. All players were collapsing on the field. Now they seem fitter than ever.
Which is odd because surely as a club you learn what works and stick to it? Even after he left you’d want to keep to his methods and routines.
It's a remnant from the Messi-Ron wars. Why would one exclude penalty goals anyway ?
I'm so, so glad that they are on their way out. Expect the press to find some new ones to inflameIt's a remnant from the Messi-Ron wars.
Gavi should have made it 2-1 but the ref giving ten minutes of injury timeBarca very lucky so far. Should be at least level at this point.
Aubameyang's goalGavi should have made it 2-1 but the ref giving ten minutes of injury time
mats was fantastic but if you look at the xG barca did have the better chances:Says a lot when Ter Stegen was voted MOTM
