I guess this is nearly it for Jamie Vardy's party
Yeah definitely was Grealish. Dean Smith appears to be in this new breed of rotation managers. Don’t know why. He’s not a survival specialist. Anywhere he’s gone and done a “decent job” someone else has come in and done about 200 times better:Saved Villa in 19/20 tbf. Was probably down to Grealish mostly though.
Earthquake incoming the podgy cnut.Tielemans has fell off an absolute cliff.
He's shite. He pop up as a target transfer for some people but he barely does anything and is gassed after an hourTielemans has fell off an absolute cliff.
Seems a lifetime ago... but what a ride they've been over the past 8 years. I still think casually managing the CL like seasoned pros in the tournament, while at the same time flirting with relegation in their title defence arguably sums them up perfectly to me.Crazy to think they almost finished in the top four twice and Rodgers was the second coming.
Soyuncu was injured tonight he had been playing. If relegation is confirmed next Monday as I’d expect I would ban dickheads like Tielemans from the ground just feck off to your new club already as you clearly haven’t given a shit about us for 2 yearsPeople were praising Soyuncu so much, then I heard Rodgers froze him earlier this season but why the hell isn't he playing now under Smith? Seems odd.
But when Soynucu was fit he was not playing through the season … correct me if I’m wrongSoyuncu was injured tonight he had been playing. West Ham , 20 years ago 2002-03 season with Di Canio, Defoe, Carrick, Glenn Johnson, Joe Cole, Fredric Kanoute, Les Ferdinand, Anton Ferdinand. They accumulated 42 points and unfortunately still got relegated. I know it is before the example you stated (one season before).Must be one of the sides with the strongest squad we have seen relegated since Leeds I suppose?
probably forgetting someone
you're not wrong, Rodgers ego meant he was frozen out for having a "bad attitude" and "not training properly" all bullshit not such rumours from anywhere but the man who needed an excuse for him not playing, has Soyuncu and Iversen played this whole season instead of Amartey and Ward we would probably have another 5-10 pointsBut when Soynucu was fit he was not playing through the season … correct me if I’m wrong
And did he sign for Atletico Madrid for sure ? I read that somewhere
Totally agree … plus Faes single handedly costed you many many ptsyou're not wrong, Rodgers ego meant he was frozen out for having a "bad attitude" and "not training properly" all bullshit not such rumours from anywhere but the man who needed an excuse for him not playing, has Soyuncu and Iversen played this whole season instead of Amartey and Ward we would probably have another 5-10 points
he's looked much better partnered with Soyuncu, I actually put the first goal on Evans, Faes had clearly lost the flight of the ball Evans needed to take over, he was right there too. I think this may have been their first game together, that said I would have been playing Souttar with Soyuncu recentlyTotally agree … plus Faes single handedly costed you many many pts
Anyways good luck in the following 2 matches
May be a case of incompetent children undoing their parents good work, again, ala the Glazers? They've had an incredible decade when you think about it.
13/14- championship champions.
14/15- They were rock bottom with six weeks of the season left and then won five of their last seven for one of the all time great escapes.
15/16- Don't need to say anything on what happened here.
16/17- Disappointing league season but they had a fantastic run in CL and were only narrowly taken out by Atletico Madrid who were regular finalists or last 4 in those days.
19/20- Should've finished top 4 but 5th and league cup SFs.
20/21- 5th again and FA cup winners.
21/22- Probably warning signs for this season with mediocre league form but still finished 8th and reached SF of Europa Conference.
It's imploded for them like it did for them in early 2000s after the success they had in 90s. Just shows what can happen when you stagnate and start getting key transfers wrong so that's the risk for most clubs outside the top 6/7.
Been some ride and they'll be back in a few years with probably a decent young team again.
When he first played they kept about 5 or 6 clean sheets in short space of time. Those own goals at Anfield destroyed him and he was an embarrassment for first goal, just head it back to the keeper once it bounces.I think MOTD or someone did a little feature on Faes earlier in the season saying what a good defender Leicester had unearthed! Spoke too soon, it seems!
where ever Tielemans goes next he will find himself in the situation he was at in Monaco, here he was the golden boy no matter what he was going to play and could do enough to keep the hounds at bay with a decent couple of performances back to back. Its almost 2 years to the day we won the FA Cup, that was pretty much the last quality game we got from himHopefully we all can put to bed the favour for Tielemans. His displays have been woeful, a fair weather player. Thankfulyl he has turned to shite in a Leicester shirt and not added to the list who have in a United one.
You could see it coming a mile away. He was always built up despite being utterly average. One nice pass or shot to contribute to a highlights reel but no engine, ethic or quality in general.Hopefully we all can put to bed the favour for Tielemans. His displays have been woeful, a fair weather player. Thankfulyl he has turned to shite in a Leicester shirt and not added to the list who have in a United one.
They have a very overrated side. In their pomp, they had three world class players (Mahrez, Vardy, Kante)...now im not sure what they have really...a squad full of players who are very uninspiringly average and talked up beyond their abilitiesMust be one of the sides with the strongest squad we have seen relegated since Leeds I suppose?
probably forgetting someone
Overrated for what? For staying in the PL certainly not, they have a better squad that the likes of Forrest, Leeds, Bournemouth who are all above them. I think it's a combination of bad management, bad form, injuries and lack of belief. They have a very overrated side. In their pomp, they had three world class players (Mahrez, Vardy, Kante)...now im not sure what they have really...a squad full of players who are very uninspiringly average and talked up beyond their abilities
Think he goes to NewcastleI wonder if the likes of Maddison have release clauses?
He is a United fan... Maybe some pull?Think he goes to Newcastle
Agreed and they have done for years. I remember during Oles reign people on here would claim their team was better than ours, and that includes Leicester fans. Some United fans probably made that claim in order to justify us being behind Leicester for the spell we were but it was a very widespread opinion. They have a very overrated side. In their pomp, they had three world class players (Mahrez, Vardy, Kante)...now im not sure what they have really...a squad full of players who are very uninspiringly average and talked up beyond their abilities
Well, he is 36 years old to be fair! The decline of Vardy has been rapid and massive.
How are they overrated, they did very well till last season, they finished in top 10 most seasons and also in last 3 seasons they finished 5th twice losing the lead on the last day of the league. They also won FA cup in the near past. They have a very overrated side. I don't think you can put that on Evans... He has to trust his partner to not defend like a 5 year old. He can't guess that he's lost flight of the ball, and it only really became apparent he botched it at the last second.he's looked much better partnered with Soyuncu, I actually put the first goal on Evans, Faes had clearly lost the flight of the ball Evans needed to take over, he was right there too. I think this may have been their first game together, that said I would have been playing Souttar with Soyuncu recently
Agree. They were a comfortable top 10 side and poor recruitment, poor outgoings and players like Vardy finally hitting their shelf life has culminated in a terrible season. How are they overrated, they did very well till last season, they finished in top 10 most seasons and also in last 3 seasons they finished 5th twice losing the lead on the last day of the league. They have done as good as any midtable club can hope for, this season has been a disaster but that doesn't change what they achieved in the past.
Agreed, it's not just players they lost big part of their dressing room leaders too like Schmeichel. They lost most of their first 11 players every season and you don't always hit jackpot no matter how good you are at recruiting players.Agree. They were a comfortable top 10 side and poor recruitment, poor outgoings and players like Vardy finally hitting their shelf life has culminated in a terrible season.
I don't think someone like Tielemans is necessarily a bad player but he clearly doesn't want to be there and they should have sold him a year or two ago. Schmeichel was definitely a massive part of that dressing room and instead of trying to replace him for a good keeper they have tried to replace him with two terrible back-ups.
None of the decisions they've made are ones that instill confidence in the club or players around you.
As I said, they have had three players you might describe as 'world-class' in their peak - Kante, Mahrez and Vardy (I think he was an exceptional player in his pomp)How are they overrated, they did very well till last season, they finished in top 10 most seasons and also in last 3 seasons they finished 5th twice losing the lead on the last day of the league. Somehow you omitted Maddison altogether? As I said, they have had three players you might describe as 'world-class' in their peak - Kante, Mahrez and Vardy (I think he was an exceptional player in his pomp)
They also had some really good, solid PL players like peak Johnny Evans, Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana, Wes Morgan and Kasper Schmeichel.
I look at the current crop and, in my opinion, 'overrated' is the first word that comes to mind. Ndidi is overrated, he's average at best. Tielemans is overrated - he is decent for sure, but talk of him playing for a top side is well off the mark for me. Soyuncu is massively overrated and Faes is dreadful (not sure people actually rate him to be honest). Even Harvey Barnes...record for goals and assists is good but blows hot and cold whenever I have seen him, especially this season.
Point is, people talk about them like they are in a false position. They are not (in my opinion), they have some poor players and some average/fair players who are talked up beyond their abilities. Table doesn't lie....that's why they are 19th!
Ofcourse they are in false position, they don't have 19th worst team in the league. As I said, they have had three players you might describe as 'world-class' in their peak - Kante, Mahrez and Vardy (I think he was an exceptional player in his pomp)

And....? How does that change anything? I said they are 'overrated' and 'have some overrated players'...I didn't go through every single player on the books, most teams have at least one or two decent playersSomehow you omitted Maddison altogether?
