Hes doing us no harm with these performances. He could end the season with similar output to Maddison and Grealish in half the games!
Only one of Lingard, Bruno and Kane was a key part of a side winning multiple bits of silverware over consecutive seasons.
It would be convenient for people’s footballing narrative for Jesse’s career just to have petered off into nothing, but it’s going to be a lot more difficult for people to spin it if he carries West Ham to finish above Chelsea and/or Liverpool in the league and keeps Sancho and Grealish out of the England team for the Euros.
A few years ago people scoffed and ridiculed you for daring to suggest that he might just be equal to Dele Alli. We’ve been here before with Jesse. Write him off at your peril.
Struggle to get a tune out of our players? This cacophony of apparently poorly coached footballers sits second in the premier league.Delighted for him!
I don't know what it says about our coaching that we struggle to get a tune out of almost all our players. Maybe it says nothing, I don't know.
No, but people need to stop pretending that Kane and Bruno have actually delivered in big games and won multiple bits of silverware.
I’m not really sure where we’re going with this. Am I in an alternate reality in which folk are starting to pretend that Lingard is up there with the likes of Kane, Bruno and Grealish because he’s scored a few goals for West Ham? Crackpot stuff, that.
Yeah i'd still sell him, but wouldn't be disappointed if we kept him, he's showing right now he can be a weapon. You guys wanting him back are crazy. He’s had years to show us this form and apart from a run of maybe 6 games where he had a decent output, he’s been largely useless!
Move on - all this does is hopefully mean we don’t get our pants pulled down and sell him for £5m as we normally tend to when offloading our deadwood.
Hahahaha.Maybe we were wrong about Moyes too.
Mate if Wingard joined the hammers at the start of the season, Pep wouldn't be rotating players and fecking up our fantasy league teamsStruggle to get a tune out of our players? This cacophony of apparently poorly coached footballers sits second in the premier league.
How about what it says for the pressure at this club and how it impacts players differently?
Don't mind me, I just wanted use cacophony in a football forum post.Mate if Wingard joined the hammers at the start of the season, Pep wouldn't be rotating players and fecking up our fantasy league teams
It’s great news because we might get a pretty penny for him.Hahahaha.
It's funny how hated this guy was here before West Ham took a chance with him. He is having a great time and enjoying life again. Ole will make the right call with this and that is to let him keep enjoying his football elsewhere.
Lingard needs to go and we need squad players like James. So it’s not wowIf we sell Lingard and keep James. Wow.
Hit the nail on the head there. The pressure at this club is huge. Delighted he’s doing well in a less intense environment. People will use literally anything to bash Ole, including now being an inferior coach to the Caf’s all time super villain and general water-boy figure of ridicule, David Moyes.Struggle to get a tune out of our players? do you remember not long ago where he had 0 goals and 0 assists in about 2 years, lower stats than just about any centre half in the league? He goes to a side that suit his style of play to a tee, does well and suddenly he’s a footballing god? How do people not remember doing sod all for us week in week out? Him being derivative of shite is the reason we had to go out and sign Bruno in the first place for feck sake!

I support selling Lingard to the highest bidder. My question is how did Moyes bring the best out of him and not Ole? Is there something wrong with Ole and the coaching staff? We shouldnt be this far off from City considering we had top the table and beating them recently. With the right coach, we should be fighting down the wire for the 1st place instead of conceding the title to City with 8 games to go.Hahahaha.

If it was just Jesse, Id say you were crazy. But its not just him is it? Lukaku, Smalling, even Sanchez went on to do better things than they were doing here. I think theres a HUGE question mark over out couching staff from top to bottom. How many players come here looking great, and then seemingly turn to shit? Pogba? Bruno? Even Cavani seems like a shadow of the player he was when he got here. Like his natural instincts are being coached out of him. Lets just say I wouldnt be shocked to see Martial leave for another club and start to really progress like we all thought he was going to years ago.I support selling Lingard to the highest bidder. Just had a look back and, yep, I nailed it. Go me!Couple of good games and he could be back in the England set-up. Good luck to the young dude.
Lukaku is the same but doing it in a shitter league, same with smalling, same with Sanchez (has he actually even been that good?). Funny how all 3 players went to the same league but we'll just ignore that.If it was just Jesse, Id say you were crazy. But its not just him is it? Who is pretending that this is the case and why is it even important? No, but people need to stop pretending that Kane and Bruno have actually delivered in big games and won multiple bits of silverware.
Lingard’s had a miles better career than Grealish, and had done much more by 25 too.

Hes been a decent player for us since lvg was incharge and hes only had a really poor season due to personal issues and shitty fans/pressure of being a united player. If he plays anything like this for us he will be a quality player for us again. Hes been better than many of our forwards. You guys wanting him back are crazy. He’s had years to show us this form and apart from a run of maybe 6 games where he had a decent output, he’s been largely useless!

Imagine what he'd have been worth if we kept him here on the bench? 15M maybe? This run of form should mean we get 20 or 30 million minimum for him in the summer. That will be a decent amount to offset the expenditure.
A decent England international goes for around 80M these days, so Lingard should be at least 50M.Imagine what he'd have been worth if we kept him here on the bench? 15M maybe?
Why would he even want to come back? He's in arguably the form of his life, playing in every game and is the main man there since moving. His team is looking like they might get Champions League next season. His confidence is through the roof. You guys wanting him back are crazy. He’s had years to show us this form and apart from a run of maybe 6 games where he had a decent output, he’s been largely useless!
