RIP Chester, Linkin Park was one of those bands everyone liked when i was in my teens.

Poor guy leaves 6 kids behind and never gotten over being abused as a child.
Apparently the same thing happened to Jonathon Davis of Korn.

I used to love the mashups

I always felt Linkin Park belongs to the fans

There was one I loved.. like this, but a bit faster.

Do singers/musicians have a higher propensity for suicide, or does it just seem like that? I could make up all sorts of presumptions about the sensitivy and validation required for such a role, but I could just be waffling into the wind.
Have you heard of the 27 club?

:( sad news. Had a great voice.

Some of their songs were depressing though, wonder if he wrote the lyrics?

I used to listen to them all the time during my teen years weirdly I listened to them just yesterday on Spotify too. Numb is still on of my all time fave songs.

Shinoda confirms it.
Must be really heavy feelings for the rest of the band. Especially considering how many of their songs could easily be about suicide and he mentioned it in interviews on the past also.

They are probably thinking they could have seen the signs.

And not to mention his 6 children.

Bah. Horrible news.

It feels fecking weird being so upset over the death of someone I had no contact with or knew personally but Linkin Park was one of those bands I could just listen to on repeat over and over again through my depression.

R.I.P. Chester. :(

One of my favorite bands of all time, still listen to some of their songs even after so long. Such a sad moment this.

Linkin Park are one of the few groups you can say they got talent.

Definitely. In this guys case (according to the article) he was also abused as a child. In terms of musicians, they are obviously more likely to be around drugs which can compound already existing problems they may have.
