Imagine if they win...
I've put money on it. Easy cash.Imagine if they win...
If you go through everyone's under 23 sides you'll find plenty of duplicate names like that.Harry Kane in midfield we might have a chance.
Apparently no relation to the two at Newcastle. So they are fielding a team of kids tonight including a Longstaff from Newcastle? How many Longstaff brothers are there? ,
Lowest is 51?The numbers of our players.. must add up to be the highest total number in competitive match history.
they should get a fine. They need to be banned from it after tonight's showing.
That's the other cup, Johnstones Paint trophy.they should get a fine.
lower league teams get fined for playing squad players in the EFL cup, which is now a farce since youth teams entered it. Bristol Rovers, for example subbed off their keeper last season after 30 seconds to allow the 2nd keeper to play as they couldn’t play the keeper from the start without incurring a fine.
yes. Got that wrong. Knew it was the other cup but got the name wrong. That's the other cup, Johnstones Paint trophy.

A fine? What malarkey. If you were the manager, would you have the 1st 11 play this cup, then fly off to some desert oasis and play the following day in another cup-tie?they should get a fine.

What is your point? That's like alleging Miss World has smelly armpits. We can see that they don't have a good youth academy.
Their best two players to come out of it - one couldn't win the league and the other had to come ot United to win it.
Nope... check this out from Sky Sports: https://www.skysports.com/football/...lla-but-harvey-elliott-and-co-still-impressedWhen United played their second team in the FA Cup to go to the Club World Cup, the media crucified us!
Will they do it this time with LiVAR pool?!
Of course they won't!!
Liverpool will still win the league with a 20 point deduction. You may want to elevate your hysteria to a meaningful 40-points deduction. Then everyone shall sleep better. That's an outrageous spit in the face of tradition and little children's dreams. They came to the decrepit shanty that Villa Park is to watch the mighty CL winners, only to get their expectancies for a better life absolutely shattered and shat on by Adolf Klopp and his inept subordinates. Thank you Herr Klopp, there goes the new hope of English football as the kids are still wetting their beds and crying at night because now they have no motivation nor hope to become a professional footballer. Now they shall die in hunger and famine that's rampant in Her Majesty's Pisshole of Birmingham.
The only just punishment, in my humble opinion, would be a 20 point deduction so the other teams think twice before they destroy other people's dreams.
I will agree with you here. For some reason our youth setup has been the opposite of Chelsea, in other words shit. And that is reflecting in our youth league positions and cup exits. We can see that they don't have a good youth academy.

I hate Liverpool as much as the next Utd fan, but what was the alternative? Their first team squad is on another continent for the Club World Club. What can they do? Only send half their squad and go half strength in both comps?they should get a fine.

Liverpool, as a whole, are winning silverware. What is your point?
You do realise these embryos played a premier League team, yes? Are you so short-sighted you couldn't see the TV?
Again, what is your actual point other than making yourself appear foolish?
I think that this person should moderate the way he talks here.Liverpool will still win the league with a 20 point deduction. You may want to elevate your hysteria to a meaningful 40-points deduction. Then everyone shall sleep better.
I predict a ban before he reaches 10 posts.I think that this person should moderate the way he talks here.
Don't fret, he won't last long with that attitude.I think that this person should moderate the way he talks here.
He’s an angry elf. What is your point? That's like alleging Miss World has smelly armpits.

8?10?
Optimistic!
That's probably more accurate
A rebel without a Claus! He’s an angry elf.
They could have had a 3-4 players stay in England to play last night and fly out today. They don't really need the entire squad available for the first game today.I hate Liverpool as much as the next Utd fan, but what was the alternative? And yet, the Chelsea academy has yet to produce a player of Alexander-Arnold's caliberI will agree with you here. For some reason our youth setup has been the opposite of Chelsea, in other words shit. And that is reflecting in our youth league positions and cup exits.
Pfft, more like 7 mate!
A fantastic learning experience for our plucky youngsters. Some of them may never start at Anfield again and Klopp doing the noble thing and participating has fulfilled a lifelong dream for some of these.
Had we simply pulled out, the media would have been right to batter us for cowardice and entitlement. Never pull out is the life lesson here.
Also, we had about 5-6 kids who would have started tonight if not for injuries. And people say we are fortunate with injuries.
Now we won't have to bother with the least of trophies any more for the season and villa fans get to tell their kids years from now about that time they beat Liverpool 5-0 at Anfield when Liverpool was the best team in the world. All in all, a terrific night for the beautiful game.
