Liverpool will win the league | NARRATOR: They did not, in fact, win the league.

You feel if Arsenal had won today Liverpool would properly find it difficult.

But they're not out of it at 2 points behind with 6 to go. Not an impossible goal difference to make up either, which it was versus Arsenal pre today.
It’s City’s 4th in a row.

Just make peace with it now, will help tuning out all the adulation for them this summer a lot easier.

It's just hard to see where City will slip up other than at Spurs (who also play Arsenal and Liverpool). I obviously would much prefer Arsenal to win the league but City just have a ridiculous consistency when it comes to this time of year.

We got a point away at a tough place. Glass half full and all that. Speaking of glass full, was this this enough to keep your mgr from getting sacked or is Southgate coming anyway.
You've been awfully quiet today haven't you mate?

They play Brighton away next.
That's often an awkward game.

And expecting Spurs to upset Liverpool as realistic as expecting Everton to.

Too many goals wasted in too many games finally caught them. To make it worse, today they play badly on every line, agaisnt one of the weakest rivals and still missing goals, the worst possible combination

Look at who we’re two points behind.

I’m tired Sandikan.

Brighton can play some terrific football but they're on a bad run.

They were dreadful against Burnley yesterday and Arsenal beat them comfortably away.

Yep, today was a huge blow for you, but it would still have been worse also being 3 behind an Arsenal with way better goal difference.

You still have a very difficult scenario though. Big deficit in the Europa, which you can't just write off, so you'll do well to work out what line-up to field to not throw that, that leaves a fresh lineup for the weekend.
It wouldn't look great subbing all your main lot off on 70 if you're not within 2 goals either.

Probably true, and Arsenal blitzed them.
But Brighton are one of these little Palace style bastads that can upset you randomly.

City definitely have a wobble in them between Spurs, Brighton and Forest away but you do think Arsenal will also drop in one of United/Spurs and Liverpool in one of Villa/Everton. I think City are in a strong position but this title is anything but done.

It's true and it illustrates the strength of the Prem. Palace had half a defence today and they were exceptional.

But Brighton have Mitoma, Ferguson, Gilmour, March, Estupiñan, Webter, Milner, Enciso all out. It's why they've been so poor.

Mitoma and March are probably their two best players.

This is why today is an absolute disaster for Arsenal. As they have every chance of dropping points in the 2 games you mention and Chelsea.

City have the best fixtures though.

Brighton have been largely shit since late September.

They've picked up just 6 wins in 26 games and not managed back to back wins since the opening flurry that had people talking them up as title contenders.

Of those six wins, only one has come against a team outside of the bottom seven, and two of them were against Forest.

If they didn't have us still to play, I'd say they've got more chance of not winning again this season than taking anything from City or Arsenal.

There's still some minimal pride though. A top club finishing a 38 game season with a zero or negative goal difference is unprecedented. Shameful. Must rectify that at least.
You spent 8 years in the second flight in the 50s/early 60s. That's a record for a "big club".

City will piss home now. Their run in is a joke. Only the Spurs game 2nd last of the season looks tough but they might have the league wrapped up by then (or Spurs might have lost 4th spot so won't have anything to play for)

You're welcome, lads.

Led for most of the season and ended up finishing third.

And it was us, the worst United side in 30+ years, that started their downfall.

Side that couldn't beat this United team on 3 different occasions doesn't deserve to win the title.

They are actually going to be in the minority in the Premier League in that regard. By my count 11/19 possible PL teams have beaten us this season.

Is that a record?

Had to do a bit of research, but in the Premier League era, it is indeed a record for Man Utd. We've lost 13 games in the Premier League, which broke the previous record of 12 games (13/14 season, and 21/22 season). So, out of 13 defeats, 11 are unique opponents. Only City and Palace have beaten us twice, but all of our remaining opponents (Arsenal, Newcastle, Brighton) still might do it as well.

In 13/14 we were "only" beaten by 9 different PL teams, and in 21/22 it was 10 different teams. And since we don't have other PL season with 11 or more defeats, it's a record.

Absolutely. To not be able to beat us this season, our worst in about 40 years, is quite impressive and hilarious.
You are a rival. Anyway I’m sure you will get a point at least tomorrow and all laugh at Arsenal whilst your co city residents lift the trophy for a fourth time in a row cementing themselves as the best in the prem with a treble and four in a row on the trot. What shite sandwich of a season.

How does it feel being top of the league for the majority of the season and fecking it up in the final hurdle? It's the hope that kills.

2 points dropped v us,West Ham,Everton and the 3 at home to Palace is a bottle job.

What you'll soon find is big character long serving managers leave a huge void when they leave.

You should probably embrace this season's league cup, as there's not a given you'll even be that successful anytime soon again.

They probably feel better than we do. As a fellow United fan I have zero idea why you are clowning Liverpool this season. They’ve got a trophy and done just fine for their squad depth.

Sometimes the rivalry is just retarded between both clubs I swear. I respect them more than City which should be a given but I often see a lot of our fans wanting City to hoover up all our records if it means Pool not getting one more title in like a decade for them.

Both clubs together need to work on the City problem if they get off with the FFP charges. We are allies then.

Liverpool are our biggest rivals by a country mile. City are not. Absolutely no one cares about them.

Surely, you don't need to have this explained to you.

City will destroy us more in the future believe me if we just say yeah let’s have them win the league every season over Liverpool.

They should be level with our champions league record already it’s just for Madrids luck they aren’t.

Never mind in a decade or so…

The 2 statements in this sentence are in complete conflict with each other.

If you were a United fan you'd 100% know why we are clowning Liverpool this season.
