If you accept that your league is a product ahead of everything else, then yeah Kenilworth Road doesn't belong in the PL.
It's brilliant they're in the Premier League, ground n' all. Can't wait to play them and will take any spare away tickets when we visit.

Some of the reasons people are stating for them not to be in the PL are reasons why they absolutely should be in the PL

The snobbery here is ridiculous. So what they don’t play in a 65000 seater. The atmosphere in that ground if you get a ticket will be amazing. It’s such a different experience as well compared to all the other grounds in the league. If they manage to stay in the league for a few seasons they may be able to buy a new ground to expand as a club. Also, yeah Luton is a bit grim, but the money of travelling away fans and the new interest may help bring some money in the town and help the town grow.
I hope they don't do too much 'work' on the stadium, I want it to be as it as. Each club has its own unique feel to it, just leave the stadium alone.

They're still looking for at least an experienced keeper (were after Begović and trying to sign Heaton) and the signing of Ryan Giles from Wolves has been rumoured to be close.
They've tied down some of their key players to new contracts, but if they don't target more ambitious signings, I can see only one outcome next season and that's relegation.

I think they already know they’re down. It would be mad for them to spend £100m. The club needs to sort out its infrastructure.
I'd be surprised if they stay up but if they can get some good championship quality in and use the parachute payments to bolster the squad and get their new stadium built then they might be able to stabilise themselves as a yo-yo club which is far better than what they were a decade ago.
Not saying they should spend like that but signing a couple of PL quality players who commit to them even if they go down would make them a better team in the Championship after the (probable) relegation. I'm sure there are decent experienced players out of contract who would help them, even on short contracts. Or they could use the loan market well and get some young talents from the big clubs. At this moment it looks like it will be a very tough season for them.

Not for me. Lacking any real quality across the whole squad. An awkward stadium can only win you so many points ..

Hard to say, Brighton, Chelsea and an in form West Ham is a tough start.

The thing is, they’re full of beans at the moment, sort of like adrenaline at being in the PL; once that wears off and teams get clear ideas of their vulnerabilities, as well as the cumulative fatigue and morale dump (if they’re getting battered every game), it’s not hard to envision them becoming fodder - a chance to improve GD or to get finishing sharpened, or build a forward’s confidence… basically a literal hunting ground… a honing academy… a scratching post… etc. etc.
Them surviving would be a much bigger feat than going up in the first place. Would be a miraculous achievement.
I respect the effort to get here but they're proper dross.

They know they hit the lottery and are playing the long game, between this season's money and the parachute payments they can do the new ground, new training centre and some good, cheap young players who they can give Premier League experience too and maybe make some more money in transfers if offers come in for their better performers from this season.
It's actually kind of refreshing to see a club play the long game. The club realised that it's foundations weren't perfect and are fixing them.

That’s a nice read. Would be a true success story if it all works out in the end.
Their fate this season is akin to some kind of challenge set beyond a video games normal parameters - a “legendary/nightmare“ mode unlocked after completing expert. It will be interesting to see if there’s anything they can do to make themselves tough to beat. Make their home ground a fortress and just play to spoil away. Go hell for leather against the bottom half of the table and be Allardycian or Moyesian against the top half.
Would be fun to eat words on this one with them cruising to 38pts playing good football!

didn’t catch either of the games yesterday, so catching up with some highlights this morning. for chong’s goal, what’s that really fast walking he’s doing once luton win the ball from liverpool’s corner? and why is his hand up in the air lots, and why is he shouting? are our players allowed to do that? seems like it really helped him score.
