Well I’m pretty sure some kind of announcement would of been made, who registers players without a proper announcement that they’ve signed? Grealish and lukaku signed well quick for there clubs and we agreed a deal like a month ago for Varane.
Manchester United, for instance when Scholes came out of retirement.

Guess the deadline is done now, so he wont be registered for the Leeds game. Wouldnt have played anyway though.

We don't know whether he's been registered or not.

Either way, if we can't beat Leeds at OT without Varane, we have bigger problems.

I'd wager we've already registered Varane. Even if not, we all know we've signed the lad. He was never going to play tomorrow, so nothing lost really. Yeah it does rankle not to have seen some flashy announcement, but clearly no need to be worried.

Okay calling out the club because they take their time to finalise transfers is hysterical.
Guess you have some very low standards.
You are calling the club “a joke of a football club” because the player ain’t presented to the world in your imaginary timeframe. It has nothing to do with standards. The club have delivered two top, top signings this summer and I refuse to lose my shit over fine details.

I just don't get why we operate so differently to almost any other club.

Messi and Lukaku, deals one would think are just as difficult if not more so can be wrapped up in days. Yet with us it is such a long process which saps all the joy from the acquisition.

Imaginary timelines? Its been weeks since a deal was agreed. The PL starts today if you didn't know.

The reason we sign players is so we improve the team from last year, if we want to be in a title race, we need these players from the start.

I guess you wouldn't mind us dropping points because of fine details which could cost us the league.

Okay, but if you're wrong you have to change your location from "Chesterfield" to "chesterfield" for a day. everyone will think you don't know how to capitalize.

How is a free transfer just as difficult?

It's also well documented that Varane faced quarantine issues and Visa issues. And also reported yesterday that there is an issue with image rights.

Is there any reason in particular we have to suck the joy out of transfers by not announcing them for weeks after completion? Nobody else seems to do that.

Isn’t it Ole’s press conference for the Leeds game in 15 minutes? Announcement/presentation sat next to Ole.

“Before we start, I’d like to to welcome this fantastic boy... Raphy”

What can the club do about VISA, quarantine and reported trouble with image rights? You compare this situation directly with other transfers and give the blame to our club and staff without knowing nothing about the context. It’s not even rational criticism it’s “the club is a joke” straight away.

Varane is panicking, he went a little too far in pulling a Ramos and is figuring out how to pullback and sign Madrid’s offer.

Once again, it's pretty gullible to think those deals just took days to prepare and finalize. I can really see that that the PSG chairman thought "hey, maybe we should try to get Messi to come to Paris" right after Barcelona announced that he won't renew with them. It's not like him renewing with Barcelona was bulletproof.

However you want to spin it, the fact United have failed to formally announce Varane and have him registered in the squad is a bit comical in light of Lukaku already being registered and ready to make his Chelsea debut. While the panic is maybe over the top, there is nothing normal about this delay.

Fun fact of the day I’ve a flashback of Chesterfield reds flag hanging out the window of a street in Lisbon once upon a time

If you read back a few pages, precise details ain’t needed. You can lose your shit and have a go at the club regardless.
I am not going to lose shit, however I am deeply disappointed that our club is unable to execute transfers quickly (something the vast majority of other clubs is capable of doing).
