It is nice to have such an impressive record at OT again.
Best defensive record in the league at home, if we win same points as Arsenal at home and close enough in terms of GD, while away only 4 teams have conceded more (and Spurs have the same). We are a very different team home vs away, as is almost everyone in the league TBF.

This side just destroyed Newcastle 3-0. We got absolutely no shot in this. Emery always destroys us (well aside from the last time we played them and rolled them 4-2) Would snatch your hand off for a 1-2 loss. But I can't see it, they are gonna put at least 4 past us, Watkins will have Lindelof and Shaw on skates and our attack is just non existent, we rarely score more than 2 and when we do it's a moment of brilliance from Rashford or Bruno

I'm trying out the dooming thing

Just caught the white text as I was about to ridicule your hopes of a narrow loss.

Big opportunity to further solidify top 4, particularly with Liverpool and Spurs playing. Lose this and it could get real tense, as we have Brighton away next.

Git! Just made me realise too. How can a Sunday 2pm not be in tele?! Ffs.
Because it was originally meant to be a Saturday 3pm game, which are never televised, so those rules still carry over. A couple of the other 2pm games are the same too.

If I was pessimistic I would have typed 0-3
What is that optimism based on and have you taken all of this into account?

    - Aston Villa are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games (8 wins,2 Draws)

    - Have conceded just 3 goals in those ten games.

    - Won their last Premier league match in Old Trafford and games before that 2-1 defeat and 2-2

    - It's February against out of form Leicester since United scored 3 goals against any team in the league

    - just two goals (in one half v Tottenham) have United scored in the last 3 games and conceded 5.

Be great If you are right but for me if United are to win I would expect slog and nervy game than a comfortable victory.

10 games unbeaten? Then they’re due a loss. They’re not City, this is a very abnormally long run for a team like Villa.
Other than that I have nothing much to say but I think utd will be fired up. It’s a home game against a rival. We’re very very good at home. They could pretty much seal 4th spot.

I thought the same would happen at Spurs mind. But I wasn’t far off, if only Bruno had scored his self created open goal chance we probably would have added more goals. Instead we collapsed.

Play well first half, undo all of it in the second. We aint getting shit out of this game.

I've an uneasy feeling Maguire will start. But either way please have Shaw as Left CB. He is our best after Martinez.

As per usual after a disappointing result, we will bounce back and probably stuff Villa and hit some form before we inevitably lose or draw vs Wolves at OT in 2 weeks.
This is completely normal though, I expect us next season to be more stable and control the games throughout 90 minutes and not for 45/60min only, which is our biggest weakness at the moment

Can't afford another of those "we'll only ply well in one half" performances. Villa have lots of momentum at the moment so need to be "full on" and if we go ahead, go for the throat. Plus, the performance at Villa Park earlier in the season was possible our worst of the season in the PL and we gifted them the points so I'd like to get revenge

Because it was originally meant to be a Saturday 3pm game, which are never televised, so those rules still carry over. A couple of the other 2pm games are the same too.
It must be a PL rule only then because Rotherham-Cardiff was shown by Sky a few days ago when that was originally a Saturday 3pm game that got abandoned.

All Man Utd games are televised, at least all official ones. So there are always streams (even if not with English commentary)
Yeah I know, I just don’t have means of watching any. I pay for Sky, BT and Amazon, but don’t have a laptop so can’t get it for free. Annoying.

Get yourself a magic stick. You can get every single premier league game including 3pm kick offs in UHD (allegedly).

My advice would be ditch all those and with the money saved buy yourself a nice laptop! But there's also other options like casting from your phone to your TV if needed.

I’ve got a firestick, is that what you mean?

I literally wouldn’t use it for anything else though, that’s the only problem. I’ve tried casting it from my phone and the loading speed/adverts just aren’t worth the faff. I usually stick BT sport score on in the background or listen to Stretford Paddock do a watch along while I do something else like mess about in the shed.

Just sucks that you pay all this money to not watch your team. At least we’re on fairly regularly though. Imagine being a Leeds fan or something - you’d hardly ever watch them.

Changed my original nervy 2-1 win to a 2-2 draw, they are on great form. We are not.

Unfortunately not a lot of faith in this team holding out against good opposition when leading, and even less faith in us winning should we go behind.

Our home form has been very good but too many players tired, off form or injured. We must now do everything to get over the line and finish 4th. Last season collapse must be playing on a few fragile minds also.

Any early team news that we know of?

Fred, Weghorst, Martial, Maguire & Elanga to start?

Going for a tight 2-1 win today.

If we can get 4 points out of the next 2 then we are all but in the top 4.

PM me if you need any advice on how to setup the firestick to watch matches.

Give less than a 100% against this current Villa side and you are going to have a bad time.

Will be a tough game against an inform side. We simply need win at all costs. Points are what matter at this stage of the season. We could have had top 4 sewn up already but we just never do things the easy, simple way.
