Just checked the form table and saw Bournemouth have not lost in their last 4, winning 3 of those. This may be a tougher match than people are expecting.

Bournemouth are in good form and another team of willing runners

Expect this to be closer to the Newcastle game than the Chelsea. We need to ensure that we bring the same level of intensity if we're to win this

I expect a tough game, hopefully we get over the line

2-1 McT with his standard goal per game and Rasmus to get up and running

Absolutely. The form table is arguably a lot more interesting than league position to gauge the difficulty of an upcoming game. Those last four games even include a win over Newcastle and a draw against Villa. Very solid. We can't be complacent.

    I'd go with:

    Onana
    Dalot-Lindelof-Maguire-Shaw
    Mainoo-Amrabat
    Antony-Bruno-Garnacho
    Højlund
But I imagine McTominay will start over Mainoo, and I wouldn't be surprised if ETH rotates Rashford and Martial back in, even if that would clearly be a mistake.

I can't see McTomo dropped after scoring 2 goals, a lot of you are going to be disappointed

Win and we could potentially go above City.
We'll need to win by 20 goals for this to happen. Literally.

edit: scratch that, seeing as City needs to lost as well, make it 19.

Shaw in at CB, and Regulion at LB. Any other changes, especially Rashford/Martial sends completely the wrong message. Let them sit there in the cold.

Normally go one step forward and two back so not expecting much here but would be nice to gain some momentum. A horrible 1-0 will do.

Bruno on 4 yellows, if he'll get 1 more in this game he'll miss pool

Just win. They are in a great vein of form so any kind of win will do, because we aren’t likely to get any point out of Anfield.

Need to go strong, first or second half team against Chelsea I don't care which. This is a tough game and I've a feeling the table will look healthy with 3 points here.

Some tough PL games coming up also.

Iraola has done well with them and as you said, he's got them play well lately so their form coming into the game will give them confidence

don't see this as being a walk over by any stretch.

we need to have the same level of commitment as we did against Chelsea, just tighten up the middle to slow down counter attacks. Can't always have 5 attacking and 5 defending so need to just find the balance especially at home

Shades of that delayed final league game under LvG where we needed to overturn a similar deficit to leapfrog City into 4th. Fairly sure we were playing Bournemouth then too.

Hojlund's first goal coming up. Need a win given so many top 4 rivals facing each other this weekend. Can't be wasting this opportunity before whatever potential shitshow we may face at Anfield next week.

Right now - it's quite obvious that our best defense is Reguilon, Shaw, Maguire and either AWB/Dalot at right back

I'm by no means his biggest fan but I'd start Martial in this one. We've got to manage Hojlund's fitness with Bayern and Liverpool coming up.

We are bound to give a hammering to some teams at old Trafford this season if we start taking our chances.. let’s hope we do it tomorrow and then manage the game properly

Watched highlights of last seasons game, we won 3-0 with goals from Casimero, Shaw and Rashford; a string of saves from DDG and we started DVDB. A lot has changed but hoping for a similar result.

Read a stat somewhere that we are the only team that have not drawn a match.

Bournemouth press well under Iraola so probably playing AWB is a bad idea. Might not be a terrible idea to play Rashford up top to have some pace in behind if we’re gonna rest Hojlund at some point.

Maybe a good game to give McTominay a break too, since it should be less about breaking down Bournemouth and Mainoo and Amrabat will get on the ball more.

Tough game and an important game. Bournemouth are just beginning to get something together, and could cause problems. And we are still trying to find some consistency.

    I think we'll be alright.
