We should swap Blind and Mata with Rooney and Herrera for next game..
Blind is a key player in key role for us. Herrera is not suited for that role. LvG might go for 4-3-3 there and bolster midfield more. That way Herrera can be in. Let's see.

Motm a tough one; Dave in there, a couple of crucial stops, also Fellaini - bigtime - he was involved in everything. RVP played well; held it up well some great touches, Chris Smalling probably did enough for me had some great interventions.

Man of the match is Courtois - what???

Yes he was good but lucky too, De Gea was plainly GOOD and MOTM.

He was basically trying to discredit RVP's goal by insinuating that it wouldn't have happened had Ivanovic not been on the pitch - hence RVP's response: 'is that so?'
Oh, right, I didn't get that little dig, thanks - and nice one RVP.

Hazard was the Motm for me! Always looked dangerous on the ball. Was worried for Rafael after his early booking.

I thought Herrera should have come on last 15-20 mins to add some energy to the midfield but hey ho. Deserved point in the end. I screamed like a little bitch when that goal went in!! Bring on city.:nervous:

Iam so happy we got a draw at least, should've won imo, oh well....Looking foward to the match at emptyhad, should be fun, wayne will be back, so will jones, falcao and herrera, I can't wait !
LvG says Jones has shingles, so depends how quick he gets over it.

We had two great chances in the first half and we should've gone ahead. After their goal we totally lost control for about 25 minutes until the last 10 minutes. Di Maria was shite imo, Januzaj played well, Fellaini did well considering his abilities and DDG kept us in the game. Mata has failed in Rooney's absence and going forward I wo Plelike to see Herrera in the number 10 role with Carrick and Blind as starters. Fellaini could come on whenever we need his strength in the middle. All in all I'm pleased with the draw because quite frankly they have a superior team in terms of technical ability.

I would have liked to see Herrera on for Mata as well, it would have added some more energy in midfield and let Fellaini go forward with less risk. In the end it worked out and I can see why he subbed on Wilson.

Positives: Januzaj, Smalling and Fellaini all played above expectations. DDG made important saves and RvP is slowly regaining form. Blind, Rojo, Rafa and Shaw were all solid apart from a few mistakes.

Negatives: Mata didn't exactly shine, granted he didn't have the best of working conditions. Di Maria was effectively neutralized by the chelsea defense.

Can't get enough of RvP's celebration.

Also Savage on BBC live text has been an cnut.

    His final verdict?:

"In a game of few chances Chelsea were the better team"

By "few chances" I guess he means 9 for Chelsea (4 on target) and 19 for us (7 on target). And we had more posession.

But heh, Savage being a bitter cnut about united is nothing we didn't already know.

Because we played well and took a point against the league leaders, when most people expected us to lose? Time was most people would be happy with a point against Chelsea. We're 8th for now but if we can get a similar or better results from City and Arsenal we will be in the hunt.

Don't get me wrong, i understand your argument. I just looked at the table and the fixtures thusfar, i and many others ofcourse feel we should have done better. Overall, yes, we showed our venom and fought until the end, but i just feel 8th isnt doing us any justice at all, especially if you think about the games we should have won.

I thought Chelsea were poor and spurned a lot of chances (3v3s etc). I thought Blind and Rojo were very careless with the ball at times and turned it over in some really dangerous areas. That said, I thought the United midfielders (particularly Fellaini) and attack worked their socks off all game and really got stuck in. I thought you were good value for the point but don't think you created enough clear cut chances to win the game.

I'm glad Mourinho's negative football wasn't rewarded and I'm glad they've dropped points. Possibly the happiest I've been for a United goal ever. Seeing Mourinho's face as it went in on the replay was priceless. Good result for United.

I saw Rafael vs Drogba with an earlier corner. We can't be serious with that. Greenhorn mistake!

So again avoidable errors cost us but all in all we had a solid game, something to build up on.
