Earlier in the week I was talking with a fellow united friend of mine and said, I know Mou wants to rotate the squad to find out who he likes and who is playing themselves inform but in this particular match, I wanted to see him keep a similar lineup to last weekend so we can build on our success. Frankly, I didn't think we played as dominant attacking football as the scoreline indicated as we scored 3 set pieces and one fantastic Mata buildup. I think we have a top XI beginning to emerge and I hope when Mkhitaryan is back from his injury, I'd like to see us revert to this lineup consistently.
Ibra
Rashford-Mata-Mkhitaryan
Herrera-Pogba
Shaw-Smalling-Bailly-Valencia
DDG
With Blind constantly subbing for any defender save Valencia.
I believe the creativity of Ibra, Mata, Mk and Herrera and Pogba and the pace of Rashford and Mk will create some beautiful winning football this season.
SO, i'm glad this was a minor squad rotation game and hoping we find a groove and score early and often.
