There's a big gap until our next game, so can't see why we wouldn't go full strength.
True but, on the other hand, the game on Sunday can potentially prove to be crucial for us. We win and we get in the race for a CL spot for good (and retain whatever little hope there is for the title), we lose or draw and we find ourselves two wins away from fourth place. Even if we don't win tonight, we have the quality to make up for it at Hull. But if, god forbid, we lose a key play due to injury for Sunday's game, we'll be banging our heads against the wall. There's a big gap until our next game, so can't see why we wouldn't go full strength.
Faak, reasons like this being why I shouldn't have moved to Australia!Erm, Liverpool is on Sunday, so there'd be no rest before Liverpool...

Thought he lived in another hotel not the Lowry, but he might just be making his own way there.Doesn't Zlatan still live in the Lowry?
Mkhitaryan lives in the Lowry as I understand it.Doesn't Zlatan still live in the Lowry?
Still don't see the point of Ibra, Pogba, Herrera and other players who played so much this year to start this match. Would have preferred to give them 20 minutes or so just to be match fit for the Scousers, especially considering that we should be able to beat Hull even with the second team.
I am fairly sure he lives in Bowdon or Hale like a lot of the United players... I've seen him get into a car in Hale village anyway.Doesn't Zlatan still live in the Lowry?
I wonder why he's not sorted a house out yet...it's not like he can't afford one, and he must be going mad in a hotel...I get stir crazy being in a hotel for a few days a week, never mind full time...mind you, I expect that a Travelodge is infinitely more shit than a 5* luxury hotel...Mkhitaryan lives in the Lowry as I understand it.
You are not.So am I the only one who thinks Hull will be tough to break down?
Until now?Blind & Micki stay at the Lowry, so that’d make the full 18.
Sorry, not at the hotel, but nearby. Anyway is barely ever spotted by the photographers as he arrives to the hotel when they leave for the stadium, or something.Until now?
Zlatan injured then?Blind & Micki stay at the Lowry, so that’d make the full 18.
Confirmed (MEN) United squad members seen at The Lowry.
David De Gea
Sergio Romero
Antonio Valencia
Matteo Darmian
Chris Smalling
Phil Jones
Timothy Fosu-Mensah
Ander Herrera
Paul Pogba
Juan Mata
Marouane Fellaini
Michael Carrick
Wayne Rooney
Jesse Lingard
Anthony Martial
Marcus Rashford
Of course, specially regarding Carrick's rest. Although I'm not so sure about Martial featuring today. Our first team players haven't played since Jan 2nd. If they were rested against Hull too, they would be a little rusty when they play Liverpool. We need them to be firing from the first whistle. We should rest only Carrick. Even Martial should play as I feel he needs to play a few games continuously to get into top form.
Or José’s ”We can not afford him to get injured” means he’s not willing to risk him. Of course it’s a bit weird considering Mourinho said earlier that he’d start tonight. Could still be that he’s playing, as Micki & Blind are not confirmed.Zlatan injured then?
I hope he's just been rested. We need him against LiverpoolZlatan injured then?
I read somewhere that he's only missed 36 games through injury in his entire career...that is a phenomenal stat really...Zlatan injured then?
Likely squad:
De Gea, Romero; Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Darmian, Blind, Fosu-Mensah; Carrick, Herrera, Pogba, Fellaini, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Lingard; Rashford, Rooney, Martial, Ibrahimovic
One of the players in red probably misses out?
Would be surprised if Carrick started. Think Martial would probably not start either. Lingard or Rashford to play out wide (or both if Zlatan is out) and Rooney/Mata/Fellaini replace Carrick.
Don't really know what to think of the hypothesis of Mata and Rooney both starting after just playing Reading three days ago. Sure, Mata was substituted at the 78', but…DDG

——Pogba
Micki——Mata--—Lingard
Rashford/Rooney
Aye, probably Rashford starting as a striker. Mourinho named Zlatan as one of the four players guaranteed to start today, but IF the news are true and he’s not in the match day squad for some reason, a change to those plans will be made. As for Mata, guess the other option is Martial on the left, Lingard on the right and Micki in the middle. Oh well, all speculation, we’ll know in a few hrs.Don't really know what to think of the hypothesis of Mata and Rooney both starting after just playing Reading three days ago. I think the 19 always include the 3rd keeper, as he’s probably kept in the group just in case until the last minute. If my math is correct, there are 16 ‘confirmed’ players without Ibrahimović, and also without Blind and Mkhitaryan who are supposed to join at the hotel. Aren't there always 19 players in the squad, and then one is left out at the last minute?
The 19th player tends to be a 3rd Gk if I am not mistaken. Probably Pereira in that case.If my math is correct, there are 16 ‘confirmed’ players without Ibrahimović, and also without Blind and Mkhitaryan who are supposed to join at the hotel. 4 whole days of rest.Erm, Liverpool is on Sunday, so there'd be no rest before Liverpool...
Yes, but not always. In the Reading game, both De Gea and Lingard were left out. Johnstone and Fosu-Mensah at Wembley.I think the 19 always include the 3rd keeper, as he’s probably kept in the group just in case until the last minute.

Edit: Beaten to it by Top1.
Yeah, noticed that on Saturday, too. We'll seeYes, but not always. In the Reading game, both De Gea and Lingard were left out. Johnstone and Fosu-Mensah at Wembley.
I know there's always an extra field player in the away trips, but it might happen also at home, if there's doubts on the fitness of one.Yeah, noticed that on Saturday, too. We'll see
