Tired of the "Sterling could have done better." Why can't the commentators give De Gea the praise he deserves? His positioning was great, he narrowed the angle – Sterling could have lobbed the ball over De Gea or passed it to one of his teammates which were no option in both scenes.

It's not just these scenes though. I've noticed commentators and pundits saying things like that quite a lot actually.

It's always the fault of the striker and never the brilliance of good goalkeeping. Sad

In those cases I actually do think it was more poor work from Sterling than good work from de Gea.
He and other 'keepers get plenty of praise, especially this season.

agree he had some bad moments, but he had good moments too..but this kind of performance dont deserve "sub him off" sort of comments..I bet half of the team have this 50-50 moments currently
