Love those calling for Martial .
We are always calling for somebody.
Doh!!
It wasn't that far a stretch to predict a pacey striker would cause them problems.
And its all gone quite over there..

I'd rather it stays like that though. I was at OT for the Manchester derby when Rooney pinged his in, unforgettable moment. Most overheads are. The game would be poorer without them.it's always interesting with those sort of shots, never seems to be a question of high feet.
Yet you gently lift your feet up to waste level elsewhere on the pitch and it's a definite foul, especially in Europe.
Yet you're allowed to basically do a wild jumping kick in the air!
I was thinking that during the replay. If Ander had of been braver he'd have gone for the ball with his head and we'd have got a free. Instead he saw what was happening a pirouetted away holding his head. Prob a lot to ask of him but would have stopped a goal.it's always interesting with those sort of shots, never seems to be a question of high feet.

De Gea did make some vital saves from Ings, Clyne, you had one off the line, the one Blind blocked from Firmino but other than them you didn't really cause us any problems. Without Coutinho and maybe Henderson you're 2 most creative players I thought you struggled. We didn't exactly create many ourselves either but scoring 3 from 3 shots on goal is clinical.I've just watched the second half I recorded (fck the first half apparently we were both worse than shit) and how open was the Utd defence? I didn't think Liverpool were all that in the second half but they were carving chances open. Ings, Firmino, Ibe, Benteke's open header miss, Benteke's goal. Clearances needed off the line. All in one half.
Swansea and Gomis would have had a field day.
*disclaimer: Liverpool are worse than Swansea and I can conceivably see them finishing below Swansea if Rodgers is not replaced by Klopp very soon.
Exactly. It was a straight red, every day of the week.it's always interesting with those sort of shots, never seems to be a question of high feet.

The one impressive thing about Utd this season and last was the clinicality/clinicness (?) of their finishing. And it wasn't just one player, could be anyone of Herrera, Mata, Fellaini, Blind, etc. Hell even Martial who I was sure going to put that shot wide. (The only player not to join the party yet is Memphis) That alone is gold dust.De Gea did make some vital saves from Ings, Clyne, you had one off the line, the one Blind blocked from Firmino but other than them you didn't really cause us any problems.
