This guy is god. A full back who plays like a striker and so he is a key to Real's style of play. If he wasn't a defender he would win The Ballon D'or.
And on top of that he lost both his legs in the first half but still managed to score in the 2nd.This guy is god. A full back who plays like a striker and so he is a key to Real's style of play. If he wasn't a defender he would win The Ballon D'or.
He’s been very nonchalant and playing beach football in many games this season. But now when everything was at stake he really stepped forward. He's been fairly crap this season for the most part in my opinion. He was great today though. Probably saving his best for the end of the season and world cup.
Like in the league where they are 16 points adrift? He’s been very nonchalant and playing beach football all in many games this season. But now when everything was at stake he really stepped forward.
Said it for years, offensively the most gifted left footed left back I've ever seen and arguably the most silky full back of all time. This guy is god. A full back who plays like a striker and so he is a key to Real's style of play. If he wasn't a defender he would win The Ballon D'or.
yeah, he was better defensively too.Peak Dani Alves still edges it for me.
Don't think so because he is more than a simple full back. He is a creative player as well.Is there any other left back quite like him?
What a player.
When the score was 1-1 he took the responsibility in the attack. At one point he was playing on right wing.Absolutely fantastic player and has been for some time. A joy to watch, which for a LB sounds crazy.
Yes I think. As good as Evra was going forward, Marcelo is even better in that department imo.Better than the peak Patrice Evra at United? I would probably say so
Unquestionably so. Better to question where he stands in comparison to Roberto Carlos - he belongs in any discussion of truly great full backs alongside Dani Alves, Cafu and Javier Zanetti (Zambrotta too? I always took a particular liking to him at left back). Evra wasn’t at that level, though a good player and great servant, and a very dangerous and explosive dribbler for a full back (similar to Marcelo in that sense I suppose).Better than the peak Patrice Evra at United? I would probably say so
While Evra was probably stronger defensively, Marcelo adds a completely new dimension to the attack giving Real Madrid another attacker all while playing at LB. So for that reason i'd rank Marcelo higher, that's not taking anything away from Evra though.Better than the peak Patrice Evra at United? I would probably say so
Agreed.Better than Roberto Carlos imo.
Definately.Better than the peak Patrice Evra at United? I would probably say so
