He has never shown that he is good enough to play for United. The only time he was above average was when he played as a #10 at Everton because he suited their long ball, caveman football. Boot it to him, let him chest/head it down and he'll hold up play until the rest get there. What we all dream of seeing, of course. Moyes, idiotically, wanted to play him in a position he's not very good at, while Fellaini wouldn't displace any of our actual #10s in terms of ability.
Do you even believe what you're rabbiting on about?... I mean, '
never' shown that he is good enough to play for United? Played him in the position he's not good at? As in the same position he played for Everton in his final season and for Belgium? This is the same lazy garbage that keeps getting strolled out time and time again. It really is staggering to be honest.
The only reason he could stay is that our midfield is so abject and thin that we need a warm body. He's not a young player who could suddenly "get it" and become a much better player. He's been in the league for years and has never been particularly inspiring, even before his tumescent year at United. Some players, and managers, come to United are out of their depth. Fellaini is one of those players, much like his erstwhile manager.
The
only reason, good grief. Get a grip.
So we have some players who are unaffected by form and injury - we just write the off as 'unable to raise their game at all'? Just get rid kind of thing? Why is this not the general consensus for the majority of the squad last season? Why have people suddenly come out saying 'alright Young has in fact, turned it around and become a better player'. Perhaps their original closed minded view of the player was inhibiting their ability to rationalize and he wasn't as crap as everyone was desperate to make out?
Fellaini has everything to do with the Moyes Fiasco. He's a white afro'd elephant who was bought in desperation by Moyes because he was afraid to take a chance on Herrera or Thiago but needed something to show for his months of talking.
He has nothing to do with it. He was a player signed by Moyes, big deal. The fans need to get over it - so was Mata, Rooney was re-signed at the time as well. Are we making a big silly ranting song and dance about them being 'involved in the Moyes fiasco' as well? Why are we attributing him into Moyes not signing other players as well? It literally makes no sense at all.
