Some Norwegian 15 year old making stir.

Who is he and why are people so excited about him? He's 15 ffs!

SSN linking United with a late move for him, as their final move.

Would be good if we got him. He looks fantastic from the clips I've seen and all the big clubs are after him from what I've read.

My days his confidence and ability on the ball is ridiculous for a guy that can't legally buy RedBull here in Sweden. he's also left footed. sign him up!

Looks like a good player but he needs to chill out when waiting for replies.

Signing him, loaning him out for the season would top our summer off perfectly.

Infact even if we don't, would still make a great summer, but signing the most sort after youngster in the world along with one of the most lethal strikers in the world on deadline day, would be just

Daehli was meant to be a cross between Xavi and Messi when we signed him.

In fairness, he was pretty good. But this new kid seems to be a step above. It's great business when you think about it - a potential £30m player signed for a few hundred grand.

Daehli is still very good. We tried to get him back on buyback too. He'll be a star in couple of years.

This guy is supposed to be even better.

I always feel really bad for the clubs that lose their players that way. Sure, they will get their percentage of his first transfer but it's just so little in comparison. Icelandic clubs have been screwed by Dutch clubs for years now.

I'd imagine he will cost more than that. Yes he is only 15 but he is a full international and one of the best young talents around by all accounts.

Get him woody. Would be great to have one of the most sought after kids at united.

No he will not. It's only a compensation. He's not on a professional contract yet because of his age so anyone can poach him without the club being able to stop it.

There is a legal age limit for buying red bull in Sweden?

So do I. The system badly needs to be looked at. Of course we ourselves got it in the neck with Pogba.

Same thing here. 15 year age limit. Makes sense, energy drinks are only bad for kids. Much more so than soda drinks. Despite the law it's not really enforced.

Oh right. He won't be able move until he is 16 though.

I still think he'll be a top player in the future. Been Cardiff's best player this season. Odegaard looks even better than Daehli did, too.

You can sign professional terms at 15 in Norway and, obviously, this guy has. He won't come too cheap, even though the Norwegian league is a bit of a bargain bin historically speaking.

You can sign a professional contract anywhere if you're 15 so long as you've got your parent's or legal guardian's signature to go with it but those contracts are a bit different than for players 18 years old or older in terms of length and fee. The contract will guarantee Strømsgodset a fee but it will not stop the player from leaving because clubs can always get around it.

Given the length of Ødegaard's contract, or rather lack thereof, Godset would never oppose a transfer anyhow. Next November he'll be free to leave for naught.

He's going nowhere today by the way.

Securing his rights today would be a masterstroke. He needs to be loaned back to Strømsgodset where he'll get regular football, though. He's also too young to move abroad at the moment, and that's a sentiment I share with his dad.
