Euro on the horizon he can't be a bench warmer or okay with reserves. If he stays probably he will sign new contract and play well for us. :)
Most Chelsea fans online are calling him a snake and that he should rot in the reserves if he stays. Also a lot of fans want this saga to be over before pre-season as to not distract Poch.

To me it sounds like Chelsea have more to lose from a long drawn out saga. Don’t really see why United can’t wait till the last day of the transfer window. Especially as Chelsea are having to invent other suitors. No one is paying £50m+ for Mount. This is the best offer Chelsea will ever get.

We signed Casemiro on the last day of the window and that turned out fine. Stick to your guns Murtough.

Suspect this will get done at £57 or £58M. A minor concession on both sides that enables both parties to look like they haven't 'lost'

Why these fools reduce the asking price. Keep him one more year more valuable you idiots. Only goalscorer and assist maker in that team you wanted him gone. Boehly circus started again.

Can see Chelsea are scared now incase we sign their target Caicedo. They’re lowering it a little bit so they don’t look like they’ve backed down and we ain’t going any higher so it doesn’t look like we’ve given in.

Add-ons better be Mount winning balon d‘or or similar (and no, this is not the same as Chelsea’s player of the year award).

We should decrease our offer back to the original offer now that Chelsea appear concerned we’ll go after Caicedo, we should go all in for Caicedo anyway then restart talks for Mount towards the end of the window when Chelsea will have even greater need to sell.

If they really have dropped the price it just goes to show that they really do want to sell, but they thought they'd try their luck and take the piss because it's United, and daft old United will pay up no questions asked

Think they were spooked by our reported interest in Caicedo.

I think "reports" on transfers should always be taken with a massive grain of salt. But If these reports are to be believed, it would seem we have finally started to be responsible with our transfer business. Have a hard range for the fee and if the delta is not reasonable move on. Maybe people will finally stop f**kng around with us on fee amounts now...

There was never any suggestion that he would go on strike..

It was either get his move.. or see out his contract.. so no real surprise..

If he stays on, and Poch likes him, he might even sign a new contract.. who knows..
Don't really care. Sign him now/ sign him in a year/ sign someone else.. I'm fine with all possibilities.

If that’s the case this will get done at £55m plus £5m in add ons, that way both parties come away like they got a decent deal. Not that I personally think we should be paying that for Mount.

United should stick to their guns, £50 million plus £5 million in add ons is more than fair.

United will have lost if they go any further with fee

£50m + £5m is already paying too much, but as we’ve offered it………but we shouldn’t budge another inch
If there wasn’t already one in place, there should also have been a time limit on the offer being left on the table.
If Utd are trying to demonstrate that they’re no longer going to be a pushover, they’d have failed if they don’t stick to their “final offer” stance.

"Martial...He's isolated Skrtel here..."
As long as we win on the pitch, where it actually matters, then who really gives a feck at the end of the day
You realize these things are all connected right?

Overpay consistently and get bent over in the market > less money in the future

Less money > Can't chase top players

Compromising after missing on top players > Worse squad

Bad squad > Losing matches and lack of progress.

That we're no mugs? We already indulged him by bending over for Antony.
If we had been competent enough to sign Antony before the season started then we would've saved ourselves 20m on the fee. Our dithering can hardly be described as 'indulging' Ten Hag.
Anyway, looks like we're being more competent with the Mount bid at least.

I still find at 55m is Chelsea fecking us around. Just because it's Mount, and he only has 1 year left.

oh ffs...just make it 50 + 10m and get the deal sorted or just move on and go get Caicedo bc you know they are going to use the money from the Mount sale to get Caicedo
