AWB is EPL proven, Aaron is just an 19 year old who plays in the Championship. 20m will be tops.

Maybe we can throw 40m in fees and add-ons if they throw Ben Godfrey in the mix.
They sold Maddison last season for £25mil. Situations very similar. Maddison went on loan to Scotland and came back the season before last. I season in and Leicester snapped him up. The main difference is Norwich isn’t in the championship anymore.

Maddison is an attacking midfielder. They tend to cost more then fullbacks.

I am not a big fan of Ole but there might be a plan after all. If Di Marzio is right then we're also after Hysaj. He's a defensive FB, he can play on both flanks and he's available for 20-30m. Now lets assume Aarons is also available for 20m then that would be 40m for two players. Could it be the case that Ole is aiming for 2 defensive FBs (Hysaj and Shaw) backed by 2 attacking fbs (Dalot and Aarons?)?

Possibly but personally cant see it. Reckon we will only sign one full back this summer. Who that will be, is anyone’s guess?

Tbf the jury is out on Dalot as a fullback. And it doesn't look like Ole rates him that highly either, if he's looking for a young fullback with limited experience in either AWB or Aarons.
AWB has more experience and is a different type of player. Dalot specializes in attack and AWB in defense. When we're playing more attacking fullback tactics we can use Dalot and when its going to be a tight game where we have to be careful of the opponents left wing we can use AWB.

Arons? I'm not sure he's that much better defensively than Dalot and Young. Seems like more of the same

Dalot is shit on the left. Hysaj(don't want) and Aarons(daddy want want) seem like smokescreen to force Palace's hand on AWB

That's fair enough. Considering the inflation it would be at par to what Sir Alex had invested in that young Portuguese winger whose cross is rumoured to have destroyed 1 or 2 satellites which happened to orbit around OT during the time. What was his name? Ah yeah Bebe
The one that was a one trick pony you mean..

Buying from a championship also tends to be cheaper than buying from the premier league. You’ve also got the added cost of buying the EFL young player of the year.

So you haven’t watched him but you know what his strengths and weaknesses are...

For what it’s worth I live about half an hour from Carrow Road and consider Norwich somewhat of a second team. Believe me when I say the mental aspect of the game is probably his biggest strength. Let’s not forget Farke identified the RB position as a weakness, and so signed Marshall on a permanent deal and brought Passlack in on loan for competition. Within 5 games Aarons made the position his own. The level of consistency and his ability to deal with pressure (he made his debut away to Ipswich) is remarkable for someone so young. If we do sign him you won’t find him making brain farts often, nor will you see him out of position or beaten in one on one situations. The lads a star.
This is really ridiculous. You're saying he's as good as Trent, right? Adnan talked about his physical attributes and I pointed out that Trent looks quick also however what made Trent stand out is his cerebral display and passing techniques.

I may not have watched Max Aarons but I've seen his highlight which was all about his best moments, no one can say he's better than Trent from such highlight. Moreover, I wasn't even dissing Aarons and as a matter of fact, I preferred him over Bissaka however he can't be compared to Trent who's miles ahead of him right now.

He's better than Dalot defensively, who has been near enough a liability in defence. Aarons would provide both traits(attack/defence) that are required in the modern game. Would be a smart signing IMO.

AWB only has a years experience playing in the PL for a midtable club so that shouldn't be a deciding factor. Especially if Palace are asking for a world record sum for a fullback and there's a fantastic young alternative in Aarons.

He looks like a much more complete player than AWB. His technique on the ball is absolutely amazing to watch. I know he's not experienced enough, but I would still take this guy over AWB. Feck defensive FBs who are poor on the ball, we need FBs who are good on the ball and good going forward

I dont think AWB is worth anywhere near that but Aaron doesnt fill the same role. He'd be another Dalot punt

Nah, I was just merely pointing you have no idea what you're talking about. You're seriously trying to tell myself and others, who have seen considerably more of the player than you have, what his strengths and weaknesses are when you admit you've never seen him play?

So it's not even individual game highlights. You're actually basing this off his highlight reel? Have a word with yourself. No, these videos don't demonstrate a players game intelligence, or positioning, or assuredness, or nerve, or anything of that nature. They don't contain 95% of what he does on the pitch in any given game.

I didn't say I watched Aarons but even a clown would know Trent is highly cerebral than Aarons from Aarons highlights and what Trent has shown this season.
 Celebral

Arnold has had his breakout year. Maybe Aaron's will have it at some point in the future. Maybe he won't. But clips are all that much to go by.

Aarons is better prepared to play in our first team compared to Dalot who had barely made a handful of appearances for Porto. Aarons is coming off a season where he was crowned the best young player in the Championship.

Can't really judge his positioning sense on the video posted as each clip shows him rushing back and relying on his pace to get him out of trouble.

I don't need a clip to know Trent is a better passer and crosser with lots of precision. Trent was even a midfielder for crying out loud.

If we can get him for under 20m then why not take a gamble. But if we start being held to ransom for players who still have a lot to prove its going to be very worrying.

Although i agree with buying good young players we still need to get players in that can make a difference straight away. We are going to be under pressure to finish in top 6 if we just buy these young players. Also why are we only targeting young English players.

I didn't even mention any weakness. Only you is trying to force in your imagination into the discourse. All I have said was Trent is the better passer and more cerebral. I don't even have the time for anyone who tries to argue otherwise.

I don't need a clip to know .
So even the clip isn't needed. Arnold (why do you all him Trent, is he your mate?) is just super duper genius no matter what.

Aaron's looks an excellent dribbler and quicker. But again, these are just clips. People seem to have formed really strong opinions based on them.

As much as Aarons would excite me, I feel this is a ploy by us to pressure Palace to not feck us about and take our respectable offer.

My preference would be Wan Bissaka - but Aarons would offer something different and I can see Solskjaer being a fan.

People panicking in thinking that we’ll just end up with Young as RB if we get this guy is just plain pessimistic.

Yeah this doesn't feel like a serious link. Well sign AWB.

Nor did I say he's better than TAA, but that didn't stop you pursuing that narrative. When you're discussing how good someone is based on individual characteristics, you're discussing how comparatively strong or weak they are, whether you explicitly use those words or not - it's implied. You might want to breakdown what you mean by 'more cerebral,' too. It doesn't translate well to talking about a players individual ability.

I was pointing out is you have no idea what you're talking about. Surely you can see how stupid you seen telling others how good he is or isn't based on a 5 minute video cropped and edited by someone else?

Trent is one of the best offensive fullback in the world and has just won a CL in which he was integral with his weighted passes and crosses, Aarons is still a championship player. How about that?

I really don't know what you're driving at. All I did was to mention what made Trent stand out as a player in response to Adnan's comparing their physical attributes. I didn't even factor in Aarons apart from adding that Trent is the better passer which we already know.

But then I saw you jump in to question my notion. Who doesn't know Trent is the better passer? This is really ridiculous.

Before you report me to the mod like you did previously after starting the whole shite yourself yet be the first to cry foul when shite hits the fans. Let me call out the mod to see another snide remarks from this same person.

Every time I hear a player is too expensive for us I simply laugh
We squandered God knows how much many in recent years (I mean look at Alexis salary),we want to rebuild the team, and know AWB is too xpensive for us. Let's try League 1, maybe there they don't ask too much

Max is a good little player. Young with a lot of potential to grow. I think he is worth a punt while he is still cheap.

It’s not snide remark, it’s a statement of fact. You were the one arguing with the Portuguese posters about Portuguese players you’d watched a few times in Europe, right?

Here’s a tip. YouTube highlight videos aren’t sufficient evidence to judge a player, no matter how hard to try to make that true.

How about what? The flaming fanboi you seem to be of this fellow "Trent"?

Things can change. Today's victors can be superseded. Whether by Aaron's or someone else, it's not an improbable occurence.

At 19, Aarons is much better defensively. He bullied Daniel James 1 on 1, and Norwich also had better results when he is a starter.

Don't judge his skills based on his size.

It's a snide remark when he's not even bold enough to confront me but always jump into every discourse I make to throw a snide remark yet if I give him the same dose, he will run calling to the mods. That aside, I guess the Benfica fans who opposed their rivals views on Felix were also inaccurate?

Anyway, It's even ridiculous to have anyone argue against the notion that Trent is a better passer than Aarons. Trent is one of the best offensive fullback as we speak, we don't even know where Aarons is at.
