Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
The narrative on this guy is ridiculous. Neville and Tyler saying he won’t be happy - he wants lions. No responsibility on Arteta for this utterly pathetic performance. All on the players. Now Imagine the narrative if it was Ole losing at home with 2 attempts on target against a Liverpool side with this defence? After being 3-0 down against West Ham in under half hour 2 weeks ago. Absurd.

They are going nowhere no matter who is manager atm.

Totally broken as a club. They need big investment to get be even be top 4 contenders.

Their squad isn't great but no way is it bottom half bad . He is massively underachieving and getting away with it.

Very true, Sky showed a stat and Arteta's first 50 games are worse than Emery or Wnger's last 50 games. He's not getting a tune out of his better players relying on kids like Saka and Smith Rowe to bail him out of trouble

Henry Winter will be along any minute now to tell us that the Arsenal board have failed Arteta and he needs another half dozen windows to really get his message across to the players.

Bad manager overrated by the press due to his looks, but even SAF wouldn't be able to win silverware in a football club owned by Stan Kroenke

It's absolutely baffling how easy a ride Arteta gets from the media.

Arsenal are fecking 9th!
It's ridiculous. Their squad isn't amazing, definitely not top 4 quality but they've been in the bottom half for most of the season and no one has batted an eyelid. I really can't understand it. I don't want to go in on Arsenal too much, but can any Arsenal fans on here share their opinion on this specific matter?

I want to see DT from AFTV backtrack his way out of being so pro-Arteta, especially after being completely anti-Emery.

Arteta could take a dump on DT's lounge rug and DT would say to 'trust the process'

I can't think of any other major club getting battered as often as Arsenal do

I think we might have started it with the 8-2 but they get a couple of major thrashings every season

Arteta has been given far more leeway from fans and the media than Wenger and Emery were. Considering the pedigree and achievements the latter two have, I’m really not sure why. Arteta himself was simply an assistant manager at a rival club before this. It’s like us back then wanting to sack Fergie and hire Steve Bould or Rui Faria, and then backing him to the hilt.

Many in this thread are saying they got a great squad.

I dont get it...

Leno isnt as good as any of the top 6 GK's

Arsenal got a terrible terrible defence

Pepe is one of the worst wingers in the league.

Ødegård is Mata v2 at the age of 33. If they buy him he is sacked a month after
I've been saying this but apparently there's someone out there that can have them in a top 4 space.

Anyway, they won't make Europa which is good according to common speak

I think the media are just bored of criticising Arsenal now, they've been doing it for years that even their all time low now isn't that interesting

It's kind of interesting though that I remember a few years back there used to be so many arsenal fans on redcafe , don't see many around these days at all

They would need to win 7 games to equal to Wenger's worst league points tally. And they've already played 30 matches.

I presume lots of journalists wrote flowery prose about him after the FA Cup win and they don't want to be seen to be backing down.

You ignore the nostalgic romanticism of having a former player in charge and giving them the benefit of the doubt more often than not...oh wait.

Good point. There's just no story there anymore.

Under Wenger they used to always reach top 4 at a minimum. But in recent years they've lost out in top 4 so them currently being 9th or 10th just isn't that big of a deal.

There's just no point in repeating everything over & over again. He'll get judged more harshly next year.

Surely they have a better squad than West Ham and Everton though.

Arteta should be given next season too I think. Mainly because I’m not sure who is realistically attainable this summer to be a long term solution. Rodgers for example has no reason to leave Leicester currently and surrender likely CL football

Arsenal are going to need to get very creative in the transfer market this summer. You feel they need that modern-day Henry signing now who absolutely transforms them, otherwise they could be swimming around 5th-9th for a couple of years

3-0 is a poor result irrespective but that Arsenal team is woeful. Top 8 quality at best with a push. They need investment in every major position excluding maybe strikers.

Why on earth would Rodgers take a worse job when he's doing well at Leicester

Every change arsenal make is for worst. Every single one. Missing out of top 4 is one thing, missing out of top 6 is a new low. Sad thing is there is no light ahead of the tunnel for them, poor squad with poor overpaid players like Auba, Pepe, Willian, David Luiz, and in top of that also poor coaching.

I dont see how things get better for them, they’re in huge risk of seriously stagnating as a mid table club.

He actually was good for Arsenal, but then he got his shiny new contract, guess he isnt that bothered anymore.

Absolute trash manager. The fact he still has a job tells you about Arsenal owners willingness to improve the club. fecking bite the bullet and hire one of these up and coming managers instead with some actual history of managing. Atleast ole had some impressive results in Europa and league titles to justify his position as care taker.
