That felt exactly like the 2005 F.A. Cup final. We created chances, and we could have won this game, but Frei had a MOTM performance, and more often than not, we were poor going forward with Altidore being sloppy in his touches and the final ball being poor. I think we could have won this match with Giovinco on, but Vanney became too cautious and needlessly took him off. With Gio off, we lost the link between the midfield and attack, and our attacks broke down way more often than they did with Giovinco.
Fair play to Seattle, though. They knew that they could beat us by sitting back, and they played it to perfection.
