I won't survive :(
I obviously don't know if he's coming but some very credible journos from Ecuador have put their reputations on the line regarding this potential transfer. And one of those journos is Diego Arcos who is described in the below link as being one of the most famous sports journos in Ecuador and he has nearly 600k followers on Twitter. Below is also a quote from him regarding fake news so we'll hold him accountable if Caicedo doesn't arrive.. :D

Have you ever been a victim of fake news in your career?

Diego Arcos: "I have an obsession with fake news and with denying them. Usually I am seen as unfriendly because I do not believe anything people say, when someone tells me something I always tell them, if your mom tells you she loves you, check it out. I cover sport, but I also have a specialisation in film, and I write about it and art and in the TV channel where I worked, I have given the fake news department, because they consider me a good denial or proof of this type of news. Yes, maybe a couple of times some important media companies fell into some fake news and I also thought it where real, like the little boy in Syria, where have been said his brother had saved him, I believed that news and then those who made it up came out to tell that it was a lie. If I was part of a fake news? I believe that not until now, fortunately. I have not fallen into what I consider today to be terrorism in communications".

Yes, I know. How many South Americans come direct to England and settle well from the get go?
Tevez and Macherano come to mind and yet Veron was settled in European football and he struggled so no matter how much you analyze it I suppose it just come sd down to the individual.

Well, for those looking for credible sources, I'll quote Tim Vickery from 4 minutes ago on Talksport's Trans Europe Express (a real high quality weekly program)... "it would seem United are only a few days away from announcing this deal".

Yeah that's the stuff, thank you, I'll sleep better now.
Also Diego Arcos works for Directv in Ecuador who also happen to be the main shirt sponsor of the players club (Independiente del Valle)

Knowing United they've probably only got 1 person working on the immigration paperwork so they're having to deal with Diallo first. Once that's done by about January 26th they'll start on Caicedo

Joking aside, it’s taken ages to get Diallo’s paperwork sorted so it’s going to take time to sort Moises’

Plus Woodward as a rule only works on one transfer deal at a time. ;) The Armadillo deal is almost complete and now on to Mozzie.

Exactly, you don't know. Tevez and Mascherano came together, helped each other. Would they have been so effective if they came individually? Who knows.

Some believe that a young player should just be able to up and leave and hit the ground running etc. The percentages of that happening are very slim. These players need time usually, and a support network within their own family and friends.

Nah. He didn't play 10-20 ("lots") game at RB for 4-5 ("the first few seasons").

He didn't even play all the league games in first couple of seasons (especially the second), never mind RB. And by the third season, Ince had gone.
In 1994/95 Bruce missed 7 matches - David May played alongside Pallister in all of those games as I recall - think all of them were at the end of the season. May only started 15 matches that season - so it was impossible for him to be right-back for more than 8 matches. Gary Neville broke into the side around february and started 16 matches. So who was right back in the other 15-20 matches ? We didn't have any other defenders (Parker and Phil Neville only started 1 game each) - so Keane played there quite a lot.

And I said he played there a LOT in 94/95 - never said he played there after that. And when I said the first few seasons - I meant the first few seasons in England - he played at least in 3 different positions for Forest. He was a central defender for about 10 matches when they had an injury crisis in 1992/93 (and he was still their best attacking player as a defender)

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Quote (from your post)...

"In the first few seasons at United, he was rightback a lot."

Hence the reply(ies).

Rather than spend time searching through 25 year old player stats, you could have saved hours by just saying "oh yeah, that's not what I meant. I meant this...."

I see Soumares name has risen from the ashes again today. Wonder if this guy maybe is the back up to that if it can’t get done or if it’s the other way around or the two aren’t even linked at all and it’s just a coincidence.
