Wow i gotta download this game. The last timr they beat them with Watson with one second left on the clock was one of the greatest games ive ever seen. Did not expect this kind of blowout this time.

Bama fans are unbearable

i dont know who’s been pissing you off but I’m loving this
I live in Georgia (though this is not my home by any means). When I arrived here in 2003, between then and 2008 I could count on two hands how many Alabama fans I saw. Now they're everywhere. "I've always rooted for them" or some shit. And they're fecking obnoxious. Basically the college football equivalent to NASCAR fans.

Happy that Clemson won, if only for Watson, Nuk, Watkins en Reader.

Was Tua playing at full strength?

That Lawrence guy though - 6'6 and 216lbs for a guy that just turned 19, fecking hell.

Wish I could get into college football. Structure is a hurdle that’s difficult to overcome!

Anyway, saw Lawrence has a QB rate of 154. Is that measured differently to NFL rating? Because if not that is just madness.

Must be since the perfect passer rating is 158.3 in the NFL. I think this explains it well, but I don't have a clue if that's still the system being used tbh.

Thanks that was an interesting read and helpful!

How unprecedented is his season? A quick google and he’s got some lofty praise...

I thought Tua was healthy. Clemson just read him perfectly.

I can't believe Lawrence is 2 years away from NFL eligibility.

Murray set the regular season record with somewhere around 200, with Tua right behind him. Both broke the record set last year by Baker.

If by unprecedented you meant as a freshman, that would take a little more research...

I read he was the first true freshman since 1985 to start and win the Final.

Pretty decent then but not like exceptionally better apart from TD INT.

How do you rate him though compared to others?

They didn't have 'finals' back then, but yes Jamelle was very notable for winning the title as a true freshman QB.

So impressive, in fact, he kept the starting job over Troy Aikman even though Switzer had promised to build the offense around Troy. This led to him transferring away, though in a strange twist of fate they still won a championship together...in the NFL.

I will never understand how so many people are in to college sports in America, it's just baffling.

I played football (AFL) for the second largest University in all of the state of Victoria, and we'd have been lucky to get 20 people to turn up to our matches.

He's the best of the bunch.

What the base stats don't show is that he didn't start the first few games of the season, then was frequently either subbed out of games throughout the season once the Tigers had secured the win, or handed the ball off for most of the 2nd half for the same reason.
