Any New Order fans in the house ? List your top ten NO tracks. They can be from New Order or any of their associated projects - Warsaw/Joy Division, Electronic, Revenge, Monaco, The Other Two etc.

I was 14 when I first got my copy of Substance. 21 years after his death in a time where all you ever heard was Steps, Boyzone and Westlife on the radio.

I picked up that album because it was £3 in Woolies and I wanted to listen to something different, I had not a clue who Joy Division were but for some reason all the songs on that record seemed to speak directly to me, I have no idea why.

Any band whose work transcends time and cultural changes in such a manner is a band worthy of praise. Joy Division are the greatest band to ever walk the face of the earth.

Joy Division were one of my favourite bands when I was younger.

Love will tear us apart, digital, warsaw, she's lost control and from safety to where are timeless tracks to me.

It's amazing he wrote 'Giggs will tear you apart' when Ryan was only about 6

Saw them at T in the Park in July. Have never been a big fan, but I was really impressed.

Bump. I've recently got into New Order again and damn what a band.
Aye temptation is an absolute cracker, the 7" version is the best pop record I've ever heard.

As long as you categorize this as dance

That intro just tugs upon my balls. Surely I'm not the only one

Time for a thread bump kids

New Order's new album is out today. Looking forward to it. The single from it has been on the radio a bit. I like it, a mate who's a fan too doesn't.

@Raoul, thoughts?

I just finished Bernard's autobiography. Good read if your a fan. Pretty safe to say Hooky won't ever be back in the band.

Hadn't heard about Hooky being estranged from the rest of them. Do tell.

The new track is a bit meh. Chorus is ok - sounds a bit like a random track off Brotherhood.

Hooky just did and said some shady things, like buying the rights to the Hacienda name behind the band's back after the club folded.

I've met Hooky, one of those never meet your heroes moments.

I've alway meant to get hold of at least one of their albums but never have got round to it.

If you were to recommend me just 1 which would it be?
Technique, Low Life and Power Corruption & Lies.

I didn't know anything about Bad Lieutenant until I read Bernard's book.

It's like finding an unreleased NO album.

I hope they tour the states again soon. I've only seen New Order once, I always miss them for some shit reason.

He seems to think the issue is with New Order re-forming behind his back.

Per Bernard New Order never split up. It was all Hooky's doing. He was doing some DJing and he did a radio interview where he announced NO had split. None of the band knew anything about it apparently

Not necessarily this order.

1. Ceremony
2. Temptation
3. Age of consent
4. Your silent face
5. Love Vigilantes
6. True Faith
7. Touched by the hand of god
8. Blue Monday
9. Dreams never end
10. Bizzare Love Triangle

Your Silent Face is a masterpiece and my favourite from them. With Joy Division is another story and another list.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit. Hooky seems a bit off the reservation in some of his recent interviews.
