It's fully kicked off. Protests all over the country. Protestors have burnt down the Lahore Corp Commanders house. Protests outside the properties of other top Generals and protestors have passed the gates into GHQ in Pindi.

They've taken out section 144 Rishi Sunak style to suppress any protests. I'm guessing/hoping people aren't even wiping their arses with it.

The media, twitter, everywhere, seems a bit shit. Can't find decent videos of the protests. I'm sure thousands of people are posting regularly but I'm only seeing a handful of the same videos. A complete US*/UK led effort to abduct and execute Imran. :(

*Because Khan will for sure stop trading in USD and move over to the Chinese Yen. That was always the reason Khan's leadership was targeted.

Loads of protests, they've banned twitter, but like 90% of Pakistani internet users have VPN's, thats how they access their porn.

We're about to default on our loans as well, according to Bloomberg, if we don't get the IMF funds by June. I knew we were never a well run country for most of my lifetime but I never thought I'd see this happening to us.

Politicians fighting for power while the country burns would be an apt ending for our country. To be fair the people of our country are not much better than the politicians, but the people of the country are the product of their environment while these politicians are a product of unquenchable greed.

Yea our country needs a massive reset. Like you said, our people aren't much better with religious extremism rife within every social class of the population. IK wasn't the leader to do that since he was piggy backing off the rise religious sentiment.

How’s the election results shaping up?
I’m likely wrong, but current trends show independents (from PTI?) are leading and the supporters are starting to say “stop the count”. Interesting day ahead :)

Results should have started appearing within 3-5 hours after the elections. They've only just started to trickle through 14 HOURS later!!

Someone had a huge task to fix the results and it took longer than they even anticipated. Expect Nawaz Sharif or the other criminal in the PPP to win outright or have a joint government now that the fix is finally done.

You didn’t hear it from me but headlines are:

- PTI have supposedly swept the polls (except in Sindh where PPP is expected to win):

- massive turnout in the 18-45 age group that are pro Imran Khan and pissed off with the two dynasties

- a lot of tech being deployed by citizens to monitor election outcomes

- Pak army being deployed in Karachi and Lahore

- Big question is what will officials and army do now between election closing and poll release. They can try some shenanigans to deny pti victory and give Punjab over to pml-n

- PML-N have done terribly

PPP leading in the polls at the moment, Nawaz Sharif second. They'll win outright or have a(nother) 'joint' government so they can share the spoils of war straight into their Swiss bank accounts (Panama papers? What Panama papers?)

It's taking longer than expected because like you said above there were too many younger pissed off voters whose voting sheets had to be manipulated. Far too many.

The US government keeping a very close eye and making official statements for calm once the results are announced (in their favour obviously). Don't want PTI coming back in and potentially moving away from the USD as Imran was about to before his illegal US led removal from office.

For those still interested, Imran Khan's party won the election. But the margin was small enough to allow the other two parties (criminals) to buddy up for a coalition.

The 24 hour delay in announcing the results was just enough time to rig enough votes for Nawaz Sharif to lose by a smaller margin than he really should have lost.

And thus the fixed game ends.

Yep. Not that it matters, they're only in it to steal as much money out of the country as they can before they are stopped again. So give it Giggsy.

I think the only way things will ever change if the population rise up and take out a few high ranking army generals. Last night was so laughable that it was even more blatant than the rigging that Mugabe used to do in Zimbabwe.
