I am not sure. However I just know 99% of that apprehension is nostalgia and losing OT. Looks a lot like a generic sporting bowl with a mental mesh thrown over the top. I dunno

The video is so much better, someone needs to rip it and post it on twitter or United post it on YouTube

It really is. Imagine walking towards the stadium for an evening game in the Champions League with the "trident" glowing red. I'm sure the net will contribute to amplifying the atmosphere inside the stadium as well. I choose to be excited!

YES!! They kept the stands close to the pitch. That’s all I wanted

Im old fashioned and place more value in history and character so would have preferred Old Trafford to be developed. Ive yet to see a new stadium that didnt split opinion so people always get worked up and come up with memes and so on - but this is objectively an incredibly ambitious plan and I think it looks fantastic- not just a copy/paste bowl stadium, even if it's not what my preference was. The thought of seeing it from 25 miles away is quite nice, can literally tower over City now, not just sportingly.

Going to be interesting to see when they actually start building it. Its all well and good with all the designs and all.

Will be a reality once the spade is in the ground.

That looks weird.

They should have released some designs for the fans to vote on it.

I get that they want something iconic like the towers at the old Wembley etc but that TV tower next to a tent is not it.

Nice to see Joel, Avram and Sir Jim represented as the three tits ruining everything.

The only new stadium which I feel is an actual improvement was Spurs because let's be honest White Hart Lane was a bit of a soulless dump and their new ground is cracking.

Stadium designs always seem divisive, as I've seen some people here laud some of the ugliest looking buildings around while condemning buildings others think look nice.

So the main thing I wanted from a stadium design is that it doesn't look generic. And tbf whatever people think of that design, you can't really claim it's generic. It will be instantly recognisable and distinguishable from pretty much any other major stadium I can think of.

Absolutely gutted.

It looks like a fecking circus tent. The 3 towers make it look utterly ridiculous, but of course, you can't have a football stadium without a revolving lift attraction. Absolutely fecking awful.

Gutted.

I think a new stadium makes complete sense, I like the idea of being bold and doing something a bit different in terms of the design, I just don't love the design here, especially the spires.

I presume the bigger spire at the back is one you can pay £30 to go up, look on the stadium from above etc...

Would also be interested if they plan on a single tier end (not pictured so far), which feels very common in newer stadiums since Spurs did it. Otherwise the inside looks pretty standard.

It was always going to be a shock to see what they came up with...over time I might warm to the design. Also buildings tend to look different when they are reality and not just these soulless AI style mock-ups.

Still not sure how this get built with a fragmented ownership and money problems...but that issue must have been discussed along the way, so lets wait and see.

Is that Neville doing the voice over?

Interesting that he both hosts interviews with ownership for sky and fronts the stadium launch within 24 hours

Can anyone draw on a map where the new ones being built based on those designs?

They look a little inconsistent to me

Why does the center tower have that little extra stuff on it?

Probably a viewing platform or restaurant.

Love the originality of the design, very bold. My biggest worry was that the final design would be too cookie cutter or they'd add some superfluous feature like the Wembley Arch.

My concern would be, who owns it? Utd, Ineos or external investors. Not sure I'd want united to be paying rent for x years and then turfed out sometime after SJR dies.

From the images it doesn’t appear to have a retractable roof. Given that it will be raining for half of the games, I would have thought that would be a given.

Not sure about the design. How are they going to pay for that, given the existing debt pile?
