I wouldn't get this appointment under normal circumstances but they really didn't have a choice. None of the top class managers would join them in the middle of the season and appointing a mid-table manager just because they're available wouldn't do them any good anyway.
This season is probably a write off for them anyway, I can't see an inexperienced manager like Sherwood getting them into top 4 with this level of competition, in the Summer they'll be on the search for a better coach.
This wouldn't be much of an issue had they kept AVB. I reckon he would have come good.
