I don't think any good manager will leave his club mid-season and go to Spurs do you can write off the likes of Laudrup and Pochettino who seem to have long term plans for their teams (especially Pochettino at Southampton). There aren't many unemployed managers with a good CV either and Hoddle would be a weird appointment. You cannot be away from football for almost a decade and be successful after such comeback, see Keegan and Dalglish.
