If you had to create a new Trinity Statue which reflect Sir Alex's glory days, which players would you choose? I think Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are a given. However I am undecided on the third name really.....maybe Keano?

I love Keane and every thing he's done, but Cantona was the most important player to play under Ferguson.
Scholes, Giggs, Keane, Ronaldo, Robson, Rooney, Schmeichel, Ferdinand, Irwin and Evra were all great players under him but the modern story of Manchester United kicked off with Cantona. I'd have him as the most influential figure in what became of the Premier League, not just United. The guy was Box Office.

Don't need a "trinity" statue. Everyone at the club during SAF's reign were secondary to him.
Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Butt and the Neville's could have a statue, or maybe a one of the number 7's (Cantona, Beckham and Ronaldo) but the SAF statue covers him era perfectly.

No love for Rio? I think he was just as important Giggs or Scholes during the Ferguson era. Not that any of them should have a statue built. They've already engrained their legacy for the club.

Dunno if this is controversial or not and obviously Ronaldo did great things for the club, but I think I'll always see him as a Real Madrid great rather than a United one. Would go for Giggs, Scholes and King Eric.

I get what you're saying and I have often thought this myself. However, he won the Ballon d'or, like the previous trinity. No other player did win it in Fergies era. So for that alone, he has to be part of Fergie's trinity.
He's a legend, but not on the same level as players like Giggs, Scholes and Neville who were at the club for their whole careers.
He's absolutely one of the best, if not *the* best player that we had under Fergie, but I'd see something like this as celebrating not just exceptional players, but exceptional servants of the club; players you'd cut open who'd bleed United.
I think it would be a huge disrespect towards the many signings Sir Alex made who bled as much as Gary did + they were far more important to the team then Gaz was. Id go for Scholes and Giggs (ie homegrown players who were also WC) and 1 signing.
Surprised at the lack of mentions for Rooney, he is our all time top goalscorer after all. I guess the contract disputes and his decline at the end of his career doesn't help things.

Giggs & Scholes are a definite. Kinda hard to choose a 3rd, probably Cantona.
I don't think you can pick three. It would have to be the 92 lot if you wanted a group, but really there should only be one - Cantona. He is second only to SAF as the reason for our success.
It's really tough, I'd have to pick Giggs & Scholes like the OP suggests and I really think it needs to be an attacking player to mirror the other trinity. However, I don't think there really is another trinity, so I wouldn't want that as a statue. I'd much rather have a class of 92 even if players like Butt & Phil Neville don't have the quality that some other players do, who would be very deserving as well. Still, I think the main six from that would symbolise our club better and the fans would really take to it.
Don’t agree with Scholes being a cert. Cantona and Giggs would be the two obvious choices.

I still think we should have a Class of ‘92 statue of the recreation of that famous photo from when they were kids that happened at (I think) Gary’s testimonial.
To reflect fergusons glory days the only way of doing it is by a statue of fergie himself
A lot of folk can't get over that he left us of course. He did play more games for us than Cantona though, which seems to have been forgotten. And scored more, even from the wing, god knows what his assist level was.
I think there's too many for a trinity personally, I couldn't come up with a fair one.

Cracking centre forward but the guy was at the club for 5-6 seasons and won a single league title and an FA Cup. There are at least 20 players more deserving of a statue.

Personally I think Giggsy should have his own statue away from any “trinity” or group thing - the guy is our all time appearance and winners medal holder. It should be at Old Trafford already.
Assuming that happens, a good one would be Cantona in his collar up Spurs pose, Keane jumping for the header against Juve in ‘99 and Rooney doing the bicycle kick vs City.

I would probably choose Roy Keane, Eric Cantona and Wayne Rooney because in that trio you have absolutely everything that embodies what could be considered United DNA.
Cantona pretty much epitomizes the “Aura” surrounding the club and it’s history, Keane represents the commitment and dedication and Rooney’s status as our all time scorer simply can’t be overlooked. The trophy haul between that three is hugely impressive as well and covers almost the entire Sir Alex Ferguson era.
