I for one am stunned that Neymar isn't leaving Barcelona.
Yeah but fans from other clubs will perceive the story as being true, and Neymar 'rejecting us' - these press fairytales sometimes make us a laughing stock. They only make us look like mugs to the numpties who believe every bullshit story they read.
On one hand, Barca have felt the need to come out and say something, which means there's real interest on our part. On the other hand, I'd rather we weren't interested, as Neymar was never in a trillion years a realistic target. As others have said, we'd probably have more of a chance of signing Ronaldo. If anything this just makes it more on than ever.
If we are paying this kind of money I'd rather we got Muller AND Bale.Never been a big fan of his. If we're paying this kind of money, I'd rather we get Muller or Bale.
Maybe if we get relegated to pot two in the Champion's League.Stick my neck out here and say Neymar will play at Old Trafford.
We already are in pot two should we qualify, the way they've done it this year is different. The champions of the eight strongest leagues are pot one, the rest are seeded by coefficient. We're in the same pot as Real, Athletico, City, Arsenal etc. whilst Zenit and PSV are in with the likes of Barcelona, PSG and Bayern.Maybe if we get relegated to pot two in the Champion's League.
Are there actually people out there who genuinely believe this crap? They only make us look like mugs to the numpties who believe every bullshit story they read.
do you need to ask?Are there actually people out there who genuinely believe this crap?
Oh feck, missed that after zoning out on the Champion's League last year.We already are in pot two should we qualify, the way they've done it this year is different. The champions of the eight strongest leagues are pot one, the rest are seeded by coefficient. We're in the same pot as Real, Athletico, City, Arsenal etc. whilst Zenit and PSV are in with the likes of Barcelona, PSG and Bayern.
That edge contains 15 penalties, without which the edge is dramatically reduced.Sorry, but no. It is still a difference of 22 goals, more than what the top scorer of all but 6-8 clubs in European top leagues score.
You think? If Neymar comes I'm sure his buddy Messi wants to follow him. I heard from reliable source those two are an item. That's really bold.
That's all a colossal waste of time that would be better spent pursuing obtainable targets in an important transfer window. There's really no reason for us not to go full retard on this. Offer to make him the best paid player in the world by a margin, we have the money to. That puts barca in an awkward position of potentially having to bump messis wages too (and maybe the racists) once they get wind. It's still extremely unlikely he'll leave of course but if we can feck with them a little why not. It'll also put neymar in a put up or shut up situation
not really, you just let his agent know we'll meet the release and happily pay him £xm per season if he comes everything else is then down to team neymar to push, like i said there's nothing really for us to loseThat's all a colossal waste of time that would be better spent pursuing obtainable targets in an important transfer window.
That's the point. We used to steer clear of supposed Galactico signings and did proper checks on our signings beyond just football ability or marketability so they were more suited for our clubs.Weird to use Robinho as an example, considering he turned out to be a failure at Real after all the hype. Neymar actually has justified the massive hype so far, he has been excellent for Barca, and he's still only 23.
The things you mentioned achieving in your post are a lot more complicated and nowhere near as simple you seem to think they are, however the fact that you are joking suggests you haven't given them a lot of thought which is fine, I can however tell you that it takes a lot more than a word in an agents ear in cases like these for the player or club to be unsettled in anyway.not really, you just let his agent know we'll meet the release and happily pay him £xm per season if he comes everything else is then down to team neymar to push, like i said there's nothing really for us to lose
having said all that i'm not being entirely serious anyway, like everyone else in this thread i consider this to be 100% bollocks, just press and agents making mischief. I doubt the club have had any direct involvement at all
