Gaming Official: Call of Duty Black Ops

My cousin's ordered it for £25 but that twat won't tell me where from and how he did it. I'm hoping to use means that will make him talk. The best deal I can find at the moment is £8 from HMV but you have to trade in Medal of Honor.

Tesco are quoting delivery up to 7 working days. You might not even get it on day of release.

My local Asda isn't 24hrs, so i'll walk in when it opens before work & there won't be many folk in.

Thats the same as when you buy anything on Amazon etc...

The fact that it has already been packaged and is sitting waiting to be posted. Shows that I'll get it on the day of release or before.

I've pre-ordered the game at Asda. Any recomendations as to what time to queue up for it as it will be released at midnight there ?

It's being rumoured that Sainsbury's and Morrisons will sell Call of Duty: Black Ops for just £25 at launch.

That's according to MCV, which also reports that GAME will offer the title for £24.99 if bought with any other in-store chart game on Xbox 360 or PS3.

Trade in Halo: Reach, Dead Rising 2, F1 2010 or FIFA 11 and you'll get it for the same price too.

Meanwhile, Gamestation will give an extra £5 of store credit to punters who trade in two titles against a Black Ops purchase, and will also offer the game for £20 when bought with an Xbox 360 4GB console.

The deals are set to run until November 14, MCV says.

"We've got more games, and specifically more copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops, than anyone else and we're also offering the biggest range of deals offering fantastic value," said GAME and Gamestation trading director Adam Davis.

GAME is opening hundreds of stores at midnight on Monday to sell the title as early as possible.

:)

I'll probably trade in Halo at Asda and get it for like a £1 or something then.

In anticipation of Black Ops, I have just tried the WaW MP for the first time. My initial impression is, this is awesome. I will take it over MW2 any day of the week.

Any of our Irish contingent hear of any cheap deals???

@Biscuit is Medal of honour that bad?

They're both equally excellent, but they are both different styles.

Depends what you prefer. A more measured and tactical approach or fast paced deathmatch against teenagers exploiting every aspect of gameplay possible.

I know you liked Bad Company 2. How does it compare with Medal of Honour?

Just completed the single player. Is really good and I found it longer than previous ones.

My mate was complaining that a lot of the story is broken into cutscenes that you could be playing yourself, or something.

Sainsburys is £27.97 if you do a £30 shop so I'll be getting that done I reckon, (think its .97 but its £27 something anyway). Not sure if you can use their 15% discount on that as well though, need to find out but don't see why not. So if you know someone who needs a bit of food, or you do then you get it mega cheap and if you know someone who works there, then dirty deeds done dirt cheap!!!!

I've heard there's some top down arcade style shooter in there as well? Biscuit?

It's called Dead Ops.

But you have to spend £30 on shopping. I've ordered for £34.90 from Tesco. Thats the cheapest option so far for me.

I living with the rents at the moment, so don't need to spend £30 on shopping.

That's fine mate, whatever is best for you. I will be giving someone £27 or whatever it is and that's all I'll be spending. ;)

What did Tesco do for Fifa again? I imagine it will be the same for this...wasnt it a spend £30 and get it for £25 thing?

Also Amazon will be one to watch, for Fifa they dropped the price down to match supermarkets on day of release...or was it day before.....hmm cant remember but a price drop did happen

That seems to be what everyone is doing, Game & Gamestation are doing it for £25 when bought with selected titles making it £65...*sigh*

If I hadn't already purchased 'Fallout: New Vegas' I would probably avail of one of those offers. As it stands, I can't think of a game that I want which is currently in the charts, that I don't already own.

Having said that Force Unleashed 2 is included in that list...hmmm £32.50 each and I have a Game reward card....I am tempted

Reckon it will sell out on Tuesday? Or shall I pre order it? Hmm, game midnight run? No Im not that desperate for it..
