We are terrible in possession. If there is no space, we dont really know what to do. Lose the ball and concede is only a matter of time. Defensively then also completely all over the place

There are lots of teams that are more boring than us in the Premier League, let alone around the world. It shouldn’t ruin football for you.

Im actually convinced we are the most boring team in the league. Been this way for a couple years now though. We keep hiring pragmatic managers.

Definitely. I watch Southampton play a few weeks back and they were played a great game with a constant barrage of attacks. In fairness, we've scored 3 but everything feels so hollow.
 
The decision to not replace lukaku in terms of depth was disappointing

The decision to replace him in team with faith in rashford (and Martial and opportunity for Greenwood) should be lauded by every fan regardless of overall thoughts on ole. 15 goals before new year

No! Your opinion is based on emotions hence your defensive side at the moment comments. Just because we are conceding goals galore doesn’t automatically mean we are attacking. We are just defending poor.

Very!! Which is why people are better off saying nothing. We will do the same crap but somehow get a win even though we should win anyway.... and all will be forgotten.
 
Invest in a top class right winger and another midfielder...we would be flying up the table.

Back Ole with these additions; if he fails, then he should go. Until those additions, benefit of the doubt goes his way.

On the whole this season, I definitely think we've improved defensively. That opening period then did worry me, though!

We're way past that. People have been calling him names for ages, because people on here are literal children who can't control their emotions.
 
Give the man some time. We all knew it wasn't going to be easy this season.

Lets see if the CEO can do his job and get in the players we need in January. We certainly need at least one signing!
 
People call hi the worst manager in the league but the only difference between him and Lampard are a couple of draws that should've been wins... around 4 to be exact. Otherwise we'd be sitting in 2-4th for the last few weeks.

Well my only point is wait til at least the end of a game before condemning our manager to the gallows!

I’ve personally given OGS til end of season, but am also content with our progress given profile of squad.

So I find the knee jerk angst from others such a weird way to enjoy following a team.

Even after what has turned into a good half for us, I also still do not thing he is the man for the job,. I think he is still keeping the seat warm for another man.

Our shocking defending in the first part of that half actually helped our cause because Newcastle actually thought we were there for the taking toda.

Their low block was working for the first part of the match but needs everyone to be working in harmony. We capitalised plus Wan Bissaka is looking solid attacking too for once.

I still am not saying much about our manager until Pogba is on the field. Pereira you just cannot coach to pick the right option.

Have we improved enough considering the £130m investment though?

We have the same number of clean sheets as last season: 2

We have conceded 23 goals compared to last season's 32. £130m to save 9 goals doesn't seem like a great return. We had two clean sheets in the next two games last season, so this benefit could be reduced if we continue at the current rate.

Yeah, that's the key, we need to pretend to be worse than the teams we are playing.

One side is far more extreme than the other though. Drop points and he's clueless, spineless, worst manager in the league and needs the sack ASAP.

People weren't coming out and saying he's gonna lead us to a title after the City win, we was just saying let him finish the season. Hardly a ridiculous opinion.

100% agree with this

I would go as far to say when the 3 are on form like we saw in glimpses this half it is the best attacking football we have seen since Ferguson

Always said he wasn't the second coming. 3-1 up and i'll gladly say it again.

We will keep getting these false dawns as we are not the worse side in the league. I just don't see much improvement on the year he has been here, a little but not a lot. AWB has been a big plus but it wasn't rocket science we needed a right back OR that AWB was a great prospect and available. Jame is a decent squad player and came for a good price. Maguire, im a fan, i dont think he is helped by having little protection in front of him. Get a solid CM that likes to win the ball and is good in transition and he would look better.

Ole is going to get time, we just have to accept it im afraid!

Yeah potentially. I just think we need to remember the club we support and set some standards, maybe start to show a little pride in who we are. Some of the comments I’m seeing are very similar to what I’d expect to see from fans of a club who are fighting relegation.
 
Free flowing attacking football.
That's what got him the job, be wise to go back to it rather than the sit deep and counter bullshit he adopted.
