No matter what you think about our future it should be very clear from both Ole lovers and Ole haters that he is clearly the best manager we have had post Fergie. The squad all seem happy, we've had some great performances (and some awful too) but overall there hasn't been a better manager for us in the last few years. I don't know if he is the one to bring us onwards to being the very best but he has brought a stability that has been long needed. Also his sub of Greenwood today was vital, hopefully a lesson for him for the future.
For me it feels like a team that is developing along with a manger who is developing. The biggest thing is that we have not yet found out how to be great going forward and defensively at the same time. Last season after lockdown we were at times the best attack in Europe but our defence suffered and its the opposite now. Sort that out and even with our current first 11 we are a problem for almost anyone.

Think we've had quite a few 1-0 wins as well? And a few one goal wins.City P32 W25 D5 L4
United P31 W18 D9 L4
City managing to win more games (they had six 1-0 wins this season) and United drawing to many matches the main difference between 1st and 2nd this season. Palace (A) West Brom (A) was 4 bad points to drop and Leicester (A) Everton (H) was two matches United really should have won.

Blame Jonathan Wilson.
Skjær is a reef, so sunny reef.
I am Norwegian!Well google translate backs up Wilson.
Are there any Norwegians that can clear this up? It'd be brilliant if it actually meant sunshine
Skerry or skerries. That is the most accurate translation of skjær. So, sun skerries. Probably. Are there any Norwegians that can clear this up? It'd be brilliant if it actually meant sunshine

But a skjær may also be a small island.

Skjær = skjär..? Pretty similarI am swedish and had 0 clue about the meaning of that Norwegian word. You think it should be similar.

His oldest is back in Norway playing football now, so the Norwegian Government takes care of him if Ole doesn't feed him. The youngest, in Manchester, Marcus will take care of.On a more serious note, are we going to set up a GoFundMe so his son can eat?
Should have read 23 City wins not 25. Edited now.Think we've had quite a few 1-0 wins as well? And a few one goal wins.
And your games for City don't add up?
We've also been on the end of some terrible VAR decisions. The decisions against Sheffield United arguably cost us the game, and West Brom's goal shouldn't have stood, to name two. Yes we've had poor performances, but every team has poor performances, these marginals really don't help. I couldn't say City don't deserve to be top this season, they've been the best team no doubt and will rightfully win the league, but we've improved and are clearly the second best side in the league. Absolutely no doubt about that imo.

Yeah, wasn't picking, just commenting.Should have read 23 City wins not 25. Edited now.
Yes united had but pointing out not all City victories was 3 or 4-0 strolls as some in the media try to make out
Certainly the luck was not on Uniteds side in those games v West Brom and Sheff United and City got a few wins from a dodgy VAR decisions this season.
Nah he'd still be the fat kid in school hiding chocolate everywhere then sneaking while Ole's not looking. Loved Ando, real shame for him that he couldn't stay fit. That’s brilliant. Anderson would be a superstar playing for Ole.
I think we dropped out of title race too early simply because our midfield lacks expected depth. Matic ages faster and VDB does not adapt well. Our rotation in those games did not have needed intensity and athletics. This summer we can get it right.
I am talking about our performances after topping the league in Feb. you probably read my post way too fast.I do not think so. I think Ole realized that this was a game we had to win. He changed his tactics today. You can see that AWB kept going forward and also that Fred kept pushing forward. I think Ole decided that AWB can handle the pace of Son and Maguire and Lindelof can handle Kane if the break.
