Which of you have been to OT?
Ironically I saw Sunderland Play Millwall at OT (went to Villa Park to see United Play Arsenal).
Been a few times over the last three seasons. Last match was the 3-0 win over Everton.
How do you get tickets? Must be costly coming over from Isreal so many times?
I got tickets through OneUnited, been lucky enough, I guess.
It is costly, obviously, in terms of flight and hotel, which is why I only do it once or twice a season. Unfortunately I haven't paid enough attention to the fixtures list or else I might have planned another trip around this time, but never mind.
So you are a member of OneUnited?
I'm just curious, have recently been to OT for the first time, want to go back regularly.
Yeah, I'm a member.
We had worked that out already...
Seems an unecessary expenditure when living abroad?
Maybe not, I'm not really updated on what the membership includes. Will probably look it up soon, seems tasty.
Unless you are going to matches its pretty much worthless as all the tat you get at the megastore is overpriced anyway so your discount does you no favours.
And the book and mousemat and all the other shite isnt worth a wank...
If you're going to chuck £25 anywhere, throw it into MUST and help the fans buy United off the cnut...
What are the chances of receiving a ticket after application of one, if you are a OneUnited member?
Nice idea fred... The money I invested in shares is now with MUST. When the time comes for us to buy United off the yank I'll think about putting more
I'm a member mostly for the tickets, really, though I know I may be able to get some through people here or something. The other things are a bonus scarcely used.
depends what game you are applying for. some i know have been to 8 or so home games this season, one or two of the biggiest included..others like A1 have been chubbed everytime...
luck of the draw, or somethin like that
Jacob become member of the MUSCSB ( Man Utd supporters club Scandinavian branch) instead... Normal games like against Everton, Pompey etc your bound to get one...
Depends on the game being honest..
Choose a midweek game against a lesser team and you're all but assured of one, but the chances of getting the home game against Liverpool, City or the renties are slim if not non existent.
Actually it was today when I ordered my first-ever tickets to Old Trafford and the game should not be better: United - West Ham.. It cost me 710€ for the match and two days in a 4-star hotel(came with the ticket-package)but when we get the trophy it´s going to be worth it... We´ll see what happens
I wouldnt go advertising that.. You're going to get mullered by those that got chubbed...
in the treble season when we beat blackburn 3-2 and the blackburn captain got sent off for elbowing beckham in the neck
when rooney scored the wonder goal against newcastle
And you wonder why I get so wound up...
I've been there.
I've stopped arguing with people on the internet, it's not good for my blood pressure.
I sometimes think this site is like the Matrix though and it's all an elaborate hoax being played out on my behalf.
fecking first game ever, 'yah paid 700 quid I do hope I see the boys lift the 'EPL'.'
you lucky bastarding, cock munching, shitting, arse felching bollocking cuntbag...
ill cnut you in the bastard
enjoy the game lad
You're making me angry, and you wouldnt like me when I get angry....
I've been to OT 3 times, but only once since I moved to Salford three years ago (v. Portsmouth this season FA Cup)! I wish I could afford to go more often.
how the feck ya only been once since ya moved to salford?
If you're living in Salford, how could you be an overseas fan?
Hes got to find his bearings you know....
I mean come off it, OT isnt the easiest place to find... Its only the biggest fecking building in the whole of Greater Manchester......
Seriously though, perhaps the lad cant afford it. Its not like hed be the only one ( though why hes paying for internet access when he could be buying match tickets is beyone me )
Theres some who go to OT that think your a foreigner if you live in Wythenshawe, so being from Salford would make you erm.. an alien.
Well I can't say I did much research, but I didn't realise how I could get tickets until last year (when I was living in London, and started reading redcafe), and I'm a student, so haven't been able to afford it very often! Really enjoyed being back there though, was the first time I saw United score a few at OT - the previous two games I'd seen were a 1-0 against Norwich with Cantona scoring, and a 0-0 against Newcastle a couple of seasons later!
If only the season was a little longer I'd go now, but I'm right in my finals at the moment!
In other words your a workshy lazy bastard....
I bet you go to the bar and ask for two halves and want to pay by credit card dont you.....
( I am only teasing you mate )
aint that fecking true i couldnt believe getting done out of 41 quid for lille..
fair cop good luck with the finals matey
Yep. We planned on going over for the Charleton game but it was moved because of the FA Cup. We already booked our flight so we decided to make a play on the FA Cup instead. Got tickets through Sunderland for the OT game (great seats in the South Stands though it was very cramped). Had to pay more than we wanted for the honor of sitting in the Arsenal section in that FA Cup tie. It was all I could do to keep my seat when Scholes knocked it in.
I know most of you on Fred's side are taking the piss, but I'd like to point out to old DockRockter, that, speaking as somebody who's very bitter about not being allocated any tickets this season... fair play to you.
I don't hold it against you in any way that you got those tickets it's your dream to see United play the same as it is mine, and I get to do it one wayor another several times a season for a lot less than you. Good on you for putting the effort in.
But at the same time, I'm sure you realise that you are in a very priviledged position, presumably very much so compared to 1000s of others in your own country (I'm guessing your travelling from a far way).
And I also won't hide the fact that I think there should be more tickets for regular fans, and less for the likes of you, which sounds rude (especially phrased like that!), but at the end of the day, suppply is limited, and there's a lot of us who live pretty localy, that the club ignores.
But anyway, don't take offence at anything I said, or anything Fred & co did - any anger is directed at the club not you!
is it not worth you joining the surrey reds or london reds?
Although I understand the thought that local everyweek matchgoers should get more tickets, especially at united where we actually fill the stadium every week - it's a bit silly to be mad at overseas posters on here because of it. These are tickets that travel agencies have acquired, and they're going to sell them, and if the overseas fan on here don't jump on these tickets, then they'll just go to some other overseas fan. And you lot should not forget that overseas fans have to shell out a fecking fortune for travel expenses in those trips.
If any of you had to pick just one game to go to over the course of a season, and you could choose between a mid-season game between United and a crappy Birmingham side (like I went to), or the last game of the season against West Ham where we could potentially lift a trophy, and it would basically cost the same - everyfecking one of you would choose the latter.
I think this is a case where both sides are right.
Got it in one
Nice one, cheers!
