Danny Murphy once told a 'funny' story when Liverpool team were on a plane going through turbulence and things were getting scary for the players. Michael Owen turned around with a cheeky grin and said' don't worry guys, im not going to die in a plane crash am I?"

I didn't find it particulary funny at the time, revealed more what he thought of himself

The Hughes wankery is very overstated on here, he has a miserable demeanour & whines a lot as a Manager, fair enough - they all tend to make plenty of excuses. He was still a great player for us, absolutely fantastic. Without him & Robbo, the 80's would have been totally devoid of hope, let alone anything else.
