Paraguayan left back Diego León arriving in July

This is the Caf. If we don't have superstars at every position, we would be accused of letting our standards fall.

Dalot is the Denis Irwin of this generation. 6-7 out of 10 in every game. Not flashy but works hard and plays where he is told.
He’s the antithesis of Irwin, Mr. Inconsistent.

8/10 then 3/10

To be fair, between the two of them they make the right decision 10 times out of 10.

Irwin 9 times out of 10 and Dalot once.

Generally, I try not to be one of those. I have to challenge this though mate.

Irwin was a generational player and it does nobody any good comparing current players to him.

I am going to cut you some slack, because you didn't say he's on Irwin's level, just that you think he falls into the category of players who are generally consistent. However, when you use Irwin's name it impacts your whole argument. Because, to me, its clear that Dalot has had more stinkers in a red shirt this season than Irwin ever had at Old Trafford.

Forgot we’ve signed this guy. Will he see first team action next year or are we going to loan him out to a championship team or something?
Should be with the first team or U-21. It would be stupid to send him to the championship in his first season in England.

The pace on that lad. The skill on the ball, calm finisher. My opinion, this guy is going to nail the first team spot once he settles in.

Dennis Irwin never made me want to pull my own teeth out at his daft mistakes. Never compare dalot to Dennis again haha.

Some of that opposition defending is beyond awful!

Still, he looks like he won't struggle physically at all. As shite as the Paraguayan league may be, he's still playing against grown men and looks very athletically gifted. Hopefully he's ready to give Dorgu - who looks solid overall without much in the way of threat in the final third, some competition

It's a teenager coming in from the Paraguayan league. He'll need time to settle, it's a big move for him. New continent, new language, new league. Don't expect any miracles

I think we may see him come into the first team squad. Seems physically developed enough, but going by his YouTube clips, he is very attacking as likes to take on his man … which never seems to be as easy in the EPL so he may take some time to settle.

And what does this mean for the future of Harry Amass? He's a left-back too. Maybe he's not in Amorim's plans and will be loaned out.

Nah, he'll be written off after his first 30 mins and either be deemed not good enough or will need to bulk up and go on loan to the Championship.

Or perhaps he'll surprisingly burst onto the scene and be subject to all kinds of superlatives only to be called deadwood by christmas.

Maybe the past has become blurry but does his dribbling style and power remind anyone else of Valencia?

Hasn't the talk always been about him going out on loan next season? By that time he will be back, we should be able to make a decision on Dorgu/Amass and Shaw would be even closer to the exit.

Looks like he has that Evra type burst of acceleration on the ball. Fundamental of decision making and passing will be key though.

I'd loan Amass out as he needs games and let this lad cover that 3rd role for LWB.

I won't be surprised if he went out on loan next season or does 6 months with the U21's and then goes out to loan in January. We really can't expect him to be part of the first team at this stage.

A loan to a top Championship club or PL club would probably help development (more game time) but not sure if we can let him go as likely need cover.
Amass shouldn’t be anywhere near the side. Been pretty bobbins apart from one match. Talent there but needs to be allowed to develop quietly for the next couple of years.

Physically he looks ahead of Amas. Wouldn't be surpised if he took Amass' spot in the squad and Amass got a loan.

I'd have this guy play in the youth set-up and help him adjust, similar to how we're done with Kone. Of course if he oes really well in pre-season/training things could be different, no chance he should go on loan, needs a lot of guidance and that will be best at home.

I'd rather loan Amass out, maybe the championship to a team that plays good football.

It might be a bit much but I definitely got a mix of the Neymar, Cafu and Bale vibes all rolled into one after watching that highlights reel!!!!

Seriously though hopefully he settles well and we have another Yoro/Heaven level of potential.
