Neville is an idiot with his rants towards Pogba. Feck Gary! Hypocrite cnut.
Hopefully Pogba will never leave us
Hopefully Pogba will never leave us
it's not all Neville's fault obviously, but he should be more aware of the fact that his words can have an impact when it comes to social media and players, especially black players, especially in a week where black players have already been getting abused on social media, and especially when it's Paul Pogba, who is subjected to tonnes of abuse on social media already.Yeah, Neville's fault obviously, he's caused racism in the UK and Brexit is probably on him too.
Pundits should be forbidden from criticising people of colour/other nationalities/religious people/people of X sexual preference to fix the problem imo. Only good words or neutral outlooks. 'Paul has two legs and two hands'. 'Raheem played football today.' 'Mohamed kicks the ball.'. Full Michael Owen mode.
He turned a drama into crisis as he usually does. Every foul a United player does it should be a red. If he didn't love United so much you would think he hated them. Pogba missed a penalty, it happens. What if Rashford had missed it, would he have said anything or that Pogba should have taken it?Yeah, Neville's fault obviously, he's caused racism in the UK and Brexit is probably on him too.

Because there’s no racists in Spain?Disgusting.
Sure he will push for a move in December,
We will end the season with Fred Pereira Mc Tominay and we ll be happy for sure.
Fans nowadays are such idiots
Of course there are, they are everywhere, but I think most people thought we were still pretty civilised. Obviously not.Because there’s no racists in Spain?
Man, I'm sorry to see this happening. Just know that it's only a stupid minority and the rest of us are together regardless of race.As a black man, I have to say that the racism in football is becoming really exhausting. I thought that the majority of united fans were above it, but ever since the situation with the Lukaku song it’s becoming more and more evident that even our own fan base is full of bigots. So much of the abuse handed out to the likes of Pogba, Martial, Rashford, Lingard etc has clear racial undertones and it’s upsetting to see. Football has always served as an escape from the pressures of everyday life but it’s becoming toxic to the point where I really want to distance myself from the sport as a whole, which is something I never thought I’d feel.
I hear you, and that’s the approach I would usually encourage but it’s disheartening to see things regressing at such an alarming rate.Don't give up bro. This is a very small minority and we shouldn't let them win.
That's not a terrible idea to be fair. This is why putting in a drivers licence number or something similar is important though.
Well done for trying to point score on the subject of racism. Can i expect lots of posts about how racist Utd fans are, or are they reserved for when some Chelsea twats do it?
Thank you sir.Man, I'm sorry to see this happening. Just know that it's only a stupid minority and the rest of us are together regardless of race.
Yes because Trump is a racist who airs his racist views.People don’t ‘become’ racist scum because of anything Trump says either. They feel a safe environment to express their views, created by the said ‘dog whistler’.
That wouldn't surprise me in the least.Gary Neville can feck himself.
Absolutely. People are responsible for their actions. Elevating Gary Neville as if he has more say over a person's action than the individual themselves is ridiculous.I cannot believe people are blaming Gary Neville for Pogba being racially abused.
Simplistic nonsense. The reason why Pogba got racially abused is because the internet is full of faceless racist morons, not because Gary Neville criticised a player on Sky Sports.
This place is far more toxic than Gary Neville.
The more "users" on Twitter, the more they rake in from advertising or partnerships maybe? Can't think of anything else. That's not a terrible idea to be fair.
Makes you wonder why no such security measures have been put in place in the first place.
I have absolutely no idea what he'd have said if Rashford had missed it, I can only assume that because he's always protecting English players he wouldn't have complained as much, no. Had he overdramatised the whole thing? Probably yes but to try and pin a bunch of fecking morons giving Pogba racial abuse on any pundit criticising him, hell, criticising any player, is just pure delusion. Neville doesn't like Pogba? He probably doesn't, neither do I, but every single pundit there is has an agenda, make no mistake, people are just convenient to agree and pretend it's not true with those who they like. Not long time ago it was Carragher giving Pogba shit, Souness constantly does that, Scholes did it too. Should they stop doing that or should the law be enforced so that people who abuse are actually held responsible? He turned a drama into crisis as he usually does. Every foul a United player does it should be a red. If he didn't love United so much you would think he hated them. Pogba missed a penalty, it happens. What if Rashford had missed it, would he have said anything or that Pogba should have taken it?
Nobody is saying he's to blame but he added fuel to the fire by singling out Pogba and using words like 'treachery'I have an issue with Neville's name being mentioned in this thread. Yes, his criticism was moronic, but that is a completely separate issue from racial abuse on social media
The majority of United fans ARE above it, I really believe that. Lukaku song was misguided but wasn’t out of hate. I mean, there’s different levels to this, it’s a racial stereotype but not borne out of hatred for someone due to the colour of their skin. I think the distinction is important. On one hand you have fans singing a song about a player on the team, because they think it’s funny. On the other you have people that literally hate black people. It’s disingenuous to suggest they’re the same thing. They didn’t sing about Lukaku because they hated him.As a black man, I have to say that the racism in football is becoming really exhausting. I thought that the majority of united fans were above it, but ever since the situation with the Lukaku song it’s becoming more and more evident that even our own fan base is full of bigots. That never happened. Nev even said he is holding back as he thinks Pogba is the main penalty taker and thought maybe Rashford took it off him the previous week. What Nev did say that he hates when people steal penalties off of the designated penalty taker and kick up a fuss about it. He says he hates that it’s treacherous.Ranting and raving about Pogba's "treachery" in taking the penalty instead of Rashford and not scoring.
It's not really a club problem. It's a twitter problem.Club needs to do something. We have a problem in our fan base, and just saying it's a minority isn't good enough.
it's not a separate issue if people genuinely think it is part of the reason why he gets abuse.I have an issue with Neville's name being mentioned in this thread. Yes, his criticism was moronic, but that is a completely separate issue from racial abuse on social media
Neither of them ‘make anyone racist’. Football is a different environment, with different racial nuances and stereotypes. Gary Neville appeals to a school of ‘fans’ who subscribe to certain views, and those views include thinking foreigners dive, players who dance are unprofessional in some way (and black), and that Pogba is arrogant and selfish and an English footballer is an honest footballer. It is an entire school of thought and era that in itself, was often racist. Speaking to those fans will often go hand in hand with inciting some racial stereotypes.Yes because Trump is a racist who airs his racist views.
Neville's comments last night gave a safe space for those that would like to express their view on penalty takers only.
2 of our players have been racially abused in the last 6 months. It is also a United problem. It's not really a club problem. It's a twitter problem.
Pushing for a move to Madrid just to get 10• more racially abused makes a lot of sense. These are troll accounts and not United fans. You guys need to stop feeding into the bait. We are not chelsea fcDisgusting.
Sure he will push for a move in December,
We will end the season with Fred Pereira Mc Tominay and we ll be happy for sure.

People who shout racist abuse don't need fuel from pundits. They just go. Neville should be criticized, but not for anything connected to thisNobody is saying he's to blame but he added fuel to the fire by singling out Pogba and using words like 'treachery'
I'd agree with you here if he called Pogba a cnut, a piece of shit, made some racial or stereotypical remark. But in this case no, Neville isn't second coming of Hitler and he isn't inspiring masses to show their true colours, he isn't and shouldn't be held responsible for a bunch of grown men who know exactly well what they are doing. Neither did he rally people to storm Pogba's twitter.it's not all Neville's fault obviously, but he should be more aware of the fact that his words can have an impact when it comes to social media and players, especially black players, especially in a week where black players have already been getting abused on social media, and especially when it's Paul Pogba, who is subjected to tonnes of abuse on social media already.
Even say, if you take the racism element out of things with Neville's comments, and don't attribute any of the racism to what he said, he should still be aware that what he says, in such a negative and overblown fashion, can have an impact on the fragile masses who follow football, and the idiots we've seen abuse players on social media over and over again.
No, I'm pretty sure attacking someone because of / with the colour of their skin in fact means they're racist. This will never stop unfortunately, as long as different skin complexions exist people will always use it to attack others; even if they aren't necessarily true racists. Real shame!!
