He should have done a Thiago Silva and come to the Premier League when he left Real. He obviously still had a lot to offer and it feels like he has missed out on an additional 3-4 years at a top side.

Ramos got all the headlines for the goals and the looks but Pepe was a top player. The better player. Easily a top ten CB of the last 20 years for me.

It’s crazy how competent he still is. Genuinely one of the most loathsome footballers of the last 15 year but easily one of the best.

He was pretty solid for us and wanted for us to extend him but still amazed the level he's performing at his age.

Crazy how he's still going, and you have players like Hazard who could still have 10 years left in his career if he really tried.

He was superb at the World Cup. I’ll always have a soft spot for him, because of how he tortured the crying UEFAlona cnuts.

His time is coming, he has been erratic this season, plus the vintage sent offs, we need a new cb.

Still has nights like yesterday though, he is nearly 41, the man is a legend, as a cnut but also as a player.

It's still an amazing feature that a veteran field player at 41 y.o. still manages to handle players in the athletic peaks of their careers.

Prob because if a winger or striker do manage to go past him there's an added risk of getting a karate chop on the neck

There was a video of him literally treating someone's head as a ball (genuinely tries to thundercnut someone's brains to row Z) because they took a dive ages ago in youtube. Probaby down now for violence ?

He has some temperamental issues, no mystery there. He is actually quite good with the ball on his feet, hence the reason he was deployed as defensive midfielder a lot of times even at Real Madrid.

But yeah, if the game is not going well there's a chance he will get the red.

He’d probably be thought of as the best defender of his generation if he wasn’t such a maniac.

It was against Getafe and it was insane, probably the most violent act I've ever seen on a pitch

Looking over my shoulder.

He actually would, and if you manage to look past the antics, he was (don't know about his quality now) an absolutely brilliant centre back. He basically had everything in his locker.

He only ended up playing in 1 of Real's Champions league final wins and usually flopped at the world cup. Wasn't talked about much until Madrid started their galaticos era in 2009 but he was already at the club for 2 years. Not sure he's as great as some say.
