Immense performance by everyone. The defence was solid except for Arsenal's goal where several players were out of position. Rashford MOTM for me. Bruno & Eriksen were fantastic. McT really has a fire lit under his arse the last few weeks and is performing quite well.

Impossible not to vote Rashford a MotM - 2G + 1A. Bruno, Eriksen, Malacia and Antony all excellent as well.

Hey, I regularly criticise Rashford but he was great today. He, Eriksen and Mctominay were all fantastic.
Rashford is like McTominay. Neither are all around great players. But if their role in the team is the limited roles they excel at then they do well. This is the main change. It’s not just about turning lead into gold or mentality, but about how ETH has created a team fitting the strengths of the players he selects into the tactical set up.

Said it in the match thread pre-game..despite Arsenal seeming in control of games they always concede.

Thought they were great in parts, but I can only remember one De Gea save? Good build up, not much end product.

Despite being under pressure for large parts of this game I thought we handled it great.

First real test for Arsenal and they lose…pah!

We've came a long way since the 0-4 at Brentford.

First time since April 2021 we've managed four league wins in a row.

Arsenal played quite well. We defended well, and Hag made Arteta look like a school boy. Three perfect counter attacks.
This is what I was hoping for.

Great day for me. Watched us handle Arsenal, now rolling right into watching my Rays hopefully sweep the Yankees.

Massive win but Arsenal look very good it has to be said. Agree with Neville, I am more worried about Arsenal now based on this performance
Been worried about them since the US tour. They have a hell of a team, will almost surely finish top 4. More talent than us at forward and better in goal. We're gonna need a strong January window to get things aligned like they have.

But this team just took them down. Absolutely fantastic.

I dont even know what to say, I'm buzzing!!! Personality, aggression, desire, ambition, teamwork, how we have moved since Brentford is unbelievable. The amazing thing is, this is still nowhere near Hag ball and its clear he is building a winning mentality before he releases the big guns. So many decent performances today but Erikson was outstanding, simply someone we have missed so badly. I thought Rashford was really good, frustrating at times but the way he chase balls down, got into good positions, you can see he is a man on the way up again. Two good finishes too, previously he could have missed both. I thought Bruno and Scott were okay, we lost the midfield battle a lot, I dont think the future will be them two and Erikson. Fred for me was the the best sub at the right time, closed all the holes, stopped arsenal cutting through. I also liked how Saka really tested Malacia in this game, infact I think he blew him apart on occasions. However the boy learnt, stayed strong and overcame this by around the 65th minute, I love seeing this kind of mentality. I'm very happy, 4 wins in 4, I hope we make it 5 before we play City.

Really solid result, encouraging that we're still picking up wins despite there being plenty of room for improvement in certain areas of our game.

We gave them far too much time and space at the start the second half and their goal was fully deserved but we ground our way back into it and caught them overextending to take it off them. EtH has done really well to improve the mentality so quickly as they're all fighting for one another and they seem to have built some belief that they can respond and compete with anyone instead of collapsing when things don't go our way.

We're quickly seeing what looks to have been some great recruitment.
Eriksen brilliant, Martinez a warrior, Anthony off the mark day 1.

Loved Ronaldo looking so hungry to score in his cameo too!

I'm seeing a few players emerging in the team who look like they could be suitable captain material. There is more fight throughout the team thanks to some of the players we've brought in this summer and the mentality they bring. It's night and day to that wet lettuce Maguire

Agree. As soon as the equaliser went in we would have gone to pieces. There is fight in this team.
To be fair, i thought this was the first game this season whhere we showed some real fight. Remember last game agaisnt Leicester where we were crusing, got a dodgy freekick against us, and for pretty much the rest of the game we were under the cosh.

We are still nowhere near a SAF team mentallity wise.

I thought Asenal played us off the park at times, which is no criticism as I thougt they were fantastic and people saying same old Arsenal, lacked mentality...I disagree.

I think as Neville said Arteta went for broke too early and the timing of our third goal killed them, that lost them the game....but they will be up there all season I feel....and in a way, that is what I loved about this game....first time in a very long time I have watched a game between the two of us with proper passion that looked like a clash of old with two quality sides.

And that is the big improvement in us so far this season, yes Eriksen and Bruno had some key passes and yes Rashford was clinicla with pace for once....but the big difference is the passion from the likes of Martinez in particular, future captain for me, the communication and bond he seems to have individually with so many players talking to them and encouraging them is huge, isnt a perfect centre back for me but I really like him

Malacia got done by Saka. But he is young and he will learn from this.

What's encouraging is, he didn't drop his head and he recovered as the match went on.

United plays very well in this game. The counter-attacking plays with the combination of great passers like Bruno and Eriksen with high-speed forwards like Anthony and Rashford are sublime. United has a bright future in this season under ETH.

I didn't want the game to end it was so exciting to watch, so many players playing out of their skin. Rashford, Malacia, redeeming himself after getting merked in the first half against Saka. Dalot playing like Cafu

Mctominay blocking passes and throwing his weight about bulling arsenal's midfield and probing passes forward, Eriksen and bruno chemistry threading killer through balls. Antony's debut.

I predicted a 3-1 win before the game and go into every match with belief that we will create chances and be solid at that back.

Funny because if United had started the season winning games against absolute shite then losing their first big game, Neville would castigate them. In fact I remember him doing it after we kept winning 4-0 then drew 0-0 at Anfield. Arsenal are such a soft nothing presence now. Fact is first test of the season and they failed.

Fred and Maguire; just no

Disappointed Ronnie didn't score, we're progressing. Arsenal were very luck not to lose a player to a red card.

Great performance from the team. It wasn't easy but we aren't gonna dominate everyone, and I'm so glad we've reacted well to the setback.

ETH is an excellent manager.

- Martinez is the glue keeping the defense together
- McT reincarnation
- Rashford is counter attack specialist
- Fred did his job well

I am not going to question ETH sub decisions for a very long time.
Yeah with Ericksen and Bruno making insane passes the speed Rashford gives us up front is very valuable. We're going to be a counterpunch team in the big games I think, vs the best opponents. Hustle on defense, hit them with big plays, that's the recipe this year.

McT is like a different player. It is remarkable how much EtH has improved his game.

Arse have had a very kind set of fixtures, and whilst they have improved I'm notvsure they are all that.

Great win for us, even though we spent large portions of game defending and hopefully control of games will come.
