There’s nothing about this team. Just dreary. It’s offensive to anyone that pays money to turn up and watch it. Including me. This ain’t cheap, it’s barely worth it. This cannot go on.

The club needs to write this season off and begin the clear out in January. So many duds need moved on before any change can happen. If Ten Hag somehow keeps his job there should be no more signings made. He's made a fecking mess of this squad.

Outclassed in every area. Can't even be mad, its just the culmination of Glazer Ownership. When they bought us we could stand head to head with Bayern and be confident, now they are a generation of talent (at least) ahead of us. 1 club cared about football, the other was owned by the Glazers.

We tried, no criticism here, just not good enough. The goal was avoidable if AWB was switched on, but it was all pointless anyway. Maybe ETH can learn something from the late changes and play a proper midfield on Sunday, but to be honest its hard to even care. Totally depressing the final realization of what those scumbags have done to us.

Still, save some money on the BT sport, so thats good. Hopefully we can get some back for Anfield, but really where the hell do we score from without letting in a hatful?

And Sevilla get no Europa league.
The way we dropped the ball with those leads we had, can call it freak accidents but really we are too inconsistent . Let’s focus on the league and consistency, get some newer signings in.
Highly doubt that with the uncertainty surrounding the timeline of when INEOS are coming in. We were already doing loan deals for players towards the end. Add to it the FFP issues at the club already and now absolutely no European football.

Didnt he moan he hadnt got no time to train them as we play twice a week? Lets see what he can do now. As for tonight and the Ch Lge campaign overall, absolute disgrace.
Better to sack. How can we keep a manager with a negative goal difference ?

This club has no pride.

Nope I said this from the very beginning. I’d rather have either qualified for the R16 of this competition or get knocked out completely.

Feck playing Thursday nights when we will get embarrassingly papped out by some random Romanian village team no one has ever heard of.
Good point

No Thursday night football. Not that we would have survived one round in Europa.

Very disappointing that we never really just gave it a go in this match. Truth be told, the damage was done earlier in the group. Very poor. To finish anywhere but second at least in that group is criminally bad.

Couple of injuries as well then to top it off.

Clapping eth off after that shit show. Our fans are too nice.
A 0-1 loss at home against Bayern is a huge and positive result for this team. Half on here would most likely feel that we did well today to only lose by one. Yeah... THAT is where we are now as a club.

I hope I don't see anything about "they don't care" or "work rate wasn't there". We comfortably outran Bayern. There was plenty of caring from the players. They worked hard.

Tactical system was garbage. Quality wasn't there. Take your pick from those 2. Questioning the professionalism or work rate when you get out played by a team who has nothing to play for just isn't it though.

Feel a bit numb to be honest.

To basically throw the towel in and accept a 1-0 defeat is sh!te though.

Had to have a go, even if lost by three. Losing’s one thing… giving up is unacceptable
Clearly the players think they're too good to play in Europa, or they don't want the extra games, or they just plain don't give a shit. Absolutely no bite whatsoever.

Our season and our club are now a disaster, a laughing stock and our fans are a joke!! Another full house all carrying bags from the superstore!! We deserve this because we whine and bitch but do nothing!! if any other top club was run like United is..... the fans would be in full revolt boycotting the club and sponsors until there is genuine changes made. We are just keyboard warriors!! and I cannot see how Sir Jim with his 1.25billion changes anything because that money is going to only one place!!!

Awful manager and players

var shouldn’t of been the deciding factor we had plenty chances in those games
I mean they definitely have better players than us but you have to look at the CL campaign with a bit of context. Multiple bad penalty calls against us, GK howlers, card for Rashford killing us. A real disaster. Maguire and Shaw injured. No attackers in the squad.

At least the team worked hard. But we don't have the quality. Not on the field, not on the touchline. You see every Bayern player being able to dribble, pass with their weak foot, pass at acute angles, easily shrug our players off the ball and you realize just how limited our players are. You also see their attacking intent. Every player almost in unison move when they have the ball. They move and the opponent moves with them to create space. Whereas, unless we have acres of space to pass to, we have no runners. No pattern of attack. We don't attack as a team, we attack with 3 players at the most. So you see how limited our coaching is. Just sub par all around.

I will accept a defensive approach against Liverpool, where we park the bus in the style of the smaller teams in the league such as Luton. We don't have much chance of winning away against Liverpool anyway with that form and the many, many injuries. But an ultra-defensive effort, you always have the option of a counter attack or a set piece.

Out of the champions league, out of Europe. We played so hard last season to get to this competition, but we have completely flopped when we are given the stage. We can talk about bad errors, or injuries but the fact of the matter is that we just haven’t been anywhere near good enough and we have got what we deserve.

Today we huffed and puffed, but we never once looked like hurting Bayern. Garnacho and Hojlund were completely schooled by top class defenders. It might have looked close at times but in all fairness, Bayern were superior to us.

With a less bloated fixture list for the 2nd half of the season, it’s important that we get our players back fully fit and make use of the single game weeks and rediscover our best form and make a charge for the top 4.

We could have had Kane this summer.

Instead we bought Mount and a faster Weghorst.

We were going out tonight regardless, with Copenhagen beating the Galatasaray.
We’ve gone out because of our poor results earlier in the group, not on tonight’s

Sure, Bayern were in 2nd gear for most of the match, with the result having no meaning for them, but apart from us having no goal threat, we played pretty decent for a lot of game.
Defence was tighter than recently.

With the current problems, it’s best we’re out of the CL and haven’t been thrown into the Europa League.
We need to concentrate on the PL and getting some stability.

The last 3 games kicked us out ..
We were leading 2-0 in all those games..
Get two safe midfielders.. play safe after 2 up..

There's nothing exciting about this team whatsoever, not even a single aspect. There's no quality and, what's even worse, players who don't give a single feck about winning. Just so so dull.

Onana clearly the man of the tournament for us. Influenced most of our key games in the group.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"

Shame so many defenders injured. I’d quite like to see a 9-1-0 formation

I hate the Europa, so I'm actually pleased we don't have to deal with that shite. Our squad is thin enough and a person can only take so much heartbreak. Injuries, exhaustion, ineptitude. Today will actually be nice memory after what happens to us at Anfield.

So this is it then, the new bar of "pretty decent" for us, is having one shot on target at home on a European night.

Really?

I agree, we didn’t need to beat Bayern but we needed to better the other teams which we couldn’t. That’s why we don’t deserve to go through.

Dreary. We looked lightweight up front. Dont recall any clear chances. Or super saves from Bayerns keeper.

Mainoo looked our best quality player in his brief cameo.
