Far, far from convincing but on a night where Liverpool and Arse drop points, I'll take it.

And another clean sheet to add to our defensive record.

One of those ugly games you need to win and move on. Onwards and upwards.

We won but only just. Thankfully we're decent defensively and we have De God.

But as for our attacking players...fecking rubbish.

Lucky win against a mid table club who played much better than United at Old Trafford.

That was a lot harder than it should've been but happy we won. Liverpool and Arsenal dropping points is a bonus!

It's not normal for a team to look this disjointed when it's missing its best midfielder.

Something is wrong.

Good result, especially with Liverpool and Arsenal drawing. Frustrating in attack as a lot of our passes were misplaced, non-existent midfield with Bournemouth walking through it at times, but we held on to a crucial 3 points. Good game from Shaw.

Pretty worrying let's be honest.

2 shots on target at home against Bournemouth (who had 7). After being beaten by your 'title contenders'. Not great.

Should have been easier. Anyway it was very flat as predictable. Hopefully the win changes the mood of the team a bit.

Shit performance from outside the back 5. Mctominay decent I guess. The attack was all sloppy as feck, though Lukaku at least scored. Shaw, Jones and de gea the 3 for motm.

Edit: actually Mata played pretty well. Only one from midfield or attack.

I'll take it. Last season we would have most likely dropped points.

At least there will be Fam TV to light the darkness of this evening.

3 points, 2nd place, more ground gained on Liverpool and Arsenal. Shaw came good and Lukaku scored.

Forgetting that such a thing as 1st place exists in the league, that's a lot of positives. We did fine, no complaints.

It would have been chaos if they scored from that free kick. Never handball. They should have had a man sent off with that two footer straight through Shaw as well.

Jones was huge, and McTominay was very impressive.

Until City give us some encouragement, I expect a few more of these flat performances. With or without Pogba.

Sadly.

The standard response after a pasting from City!

Happened under the last 4 managers now!

A win is all you can say what was good about it. They had more shots and more on target. We had two, TWO at home to Bournemouth! 5/10. Shaw Utds MOM

The result is the most important thing. Obviously it wasn't a great performance, but there were quite a few pleasing things.

Another clean sheet
Lukaku scored
Shaw played well
McTominay looked good
The conditions weren't great and it's definitely the kind of match we would have dropped points in this season
Arsenal and Liverpool all dropped points

It's a shame Rashford's belter didn't bounce into the net, because that was some strike.

Good performance. Should have been at least two goals. Good response to the defeat over the weekend.

Scrappy, but I don't expect more when Pogba isn't playing. I'll gladly take the 3 points until we get another world class outfield player. Pogba isn't enough, sadly.
