I got up before 8am for this! The team obviously couldn't be bothered.
On days like today, you ask yourself, why do WE still bother?

Well if people had doubts 'what we've been doing in the training' under Jose then sure as hell we've been doing feck all under Ole.How can we not take a corner? It is one of the basics of football. Why can't we take a good throw in?
What do corner kicks have to do with it? It could have been a good shooting chance. It was closer than the one Rashford hit the other dayHave you not seen any of our 10 corners today? Or the corners for the good past year?
The whole situation is depressing. The one that really needs replacing is Woodward, and that guy is untouchable. He won't (this season), because he has been assured by Woodie that his job is safe.
So, Ole will keep losing and won't feel any pressure. When he gets fired due to poor performance, he will say that he is very surprised and did not see this coming.
Woodie has a history of backing the manager publicly, then behind his back line up a replacement.
Yes we need aides to help us score.Aids football
I just said the same thing in another thread, Martial's laziness really cost us today, he made it very easy for their defenders. I dont remember him making a single run. I think he is even more lazy than lukaku and that is saying something.Bring back Lukaku.
Atleast he runs more than Martial
We can't even take a corner nevermind turn one.Thought we had turned a corner. Apparently not
The next 3 PL games are must-wins
Our corners are worst in the leage. 0 goals from header. On top of that we are the most dispossesed team in the league.Have you not seen any of our 10 corners today? Or the corners for the good past year?
Good point, though there are other aspects too.I can’t help but feel we’re always that bit slower to the ball to our opponents, that bit weaker in the tackle, that much more likely to switch off and leave a player free in the penalty area
McTominay said something the other day about not having an ego and matching your opponents work-rate in games.
Is there something sub-consciously sat in our players minds, whether it’s arrogance, complacency or laziness that just stops us giving that extra 10%?
Take today as an example....look at Josh King’s goal...how easy was that? How easy is it just for an opposition forward to bring the ball down in our box, turn and shoot? Compare that with Steve Cook in the last ten minutes.... twice threw his body in to prevent chances.
Also, go back to Ole’s first 10 games... what was the difference? I would say desire to prove Jose wrong! I distinctly remember the likes of Pogba and Rashford flying around the pitch as if there lives depended on it.
Just to be clear - I’m not saying we’re openly not trying.... but are we giving every last breath, covering every blade, straining every sinew? I’d say not
Yup. Thought I'd get slaughtered for that comment since everyone loves Martial on here.I just said the same thing in another thread, Martial's laziness really cost us today, he made it very easy for their defenders. He's guilty of all of that especially today. I could see james getting frustrated with him at one point, what are others supposed to do with the ball when he wont make a run for you, it was so obvious this was the main problem today. I'd like to see his stats today in terms of km ran, sprints etc.Yup. Thought I'd get slaughtered for that comment since everyone loves Martial on here.
But the last 3-4 times I've seen him play, the guy puts in such minimal effort. Jumping casually for headers not even trying to win them, jogging around, rarely closing defenders down.
Has been pathetic to watch tbh.
United can win a league with Maguire and James in the starting side. I think both are very good players. One of Rashford/Martial could be in the side as well. They just need to be surrounded by significantly better players. No way any team would perform with a midfield of Pereira, Fred and McTominay. I’ve never seen a trio of worse passers than these three. I have some hope that McTominay can improve. I’m completely done with the other two though.--------------?---------------

8 positions that I genuinely believe are in need of a first XI player. How much have we spent since we last won the league again?
Martial, Maguire, Shaw, Rashford, James are decent bench options I guess.
What? Fred was good? Not even remotely. Fred and Pereira were probably the two worst players on the field today. McTominay gave them a run for their money as well.Fred and James were good
It’s just a depressing performance. I can honestly say I don’t think the effort was poor. We tried hard. What makes it depressing is that we just don’t have the quality. James misses the target in the first 10 minutes, Andreas the entire ball. AWB makes a mistake trying to nick the ball off of King, instead of getting goalside and not allowing him to turn and shoot. We looked so much better than Bournemouth in the opening 10 minutes. Jesus, losing 1-0 to a team that hadn’t scored in a month!A few comments on the match:
1. We looked a lot better when Pereira came off - he was atrocious today
2. As good as AWB is defensively he is limited in attack.
3. Brandon Williams should be a starter ahead of Young - hopefully he will get his chance now that Young is suspended for the next game.
4. Mctominay has heart but he is limited as a player - I haven’t seen the stats but he must have had the most misplaced passes in the game.
5. Lindelof was poor today - not sure if he has recovered from the knock on Wed but I would prefer Tuanzebe and Macguire as CB pairing.
6. Why the feck are we so poor at set pieces and corners - is this a coaching issue?
7. Ole needs to find a give Greenwood more minutes
8. Not sure what Ole’s infatuation is with the 4-2-3-1. We should be playing 4-3-3 as a default against most opponents.
He will be first out if the Saudis come in.The whole situation is depressing. The one that really needs replacing is Woodward, and that guy is untouchable.
I just think too many of our squad are not coachable. The way we play crab football and don't attack and defend as a pack is undefendable. It's all just pathetic and it's all to easy to blame the whole set up at United, players , coaches and executives.I have also played football, though as I said not at a professional level.
But I can not fathom that a player that has played football for ~15 years will just turn to absolute trash because he's being told to pass the ball over the top rather than play quick passes and triangles? At the end of the day the players are the ones on the pitch carrying the responsibility and placing all the blame on the manager when the squad is ridiculously far from challenging is silly - anyway I thought Phelan was the one in charge of the training sessions and he seemed to do well enough when he coached Fergie's teams?
He wont learn will he, Liverpool and City play 433 and where are they in the league?A few comments on the match:

You should know the drill by now . It’s easier to blame YoungWeird narrative. What he offered wasn't great, but he offered a million times more than AWB did in an attacking sense.
It's genuinely astounding. Yet another part of my theory about footballers not being as good with a football as many think they are.How can we not take a corner? It is one of the basics of football. Why can't we take a good throw in?
I find it difficult you can coach Fred, Pereira and Lingard to improve. They are what they areAll players are coachable, it's getting the right coaches
