Well that was very very satisfying. We've had plenty of miserable trips to Stamford Bridge in recent years (no win since 2012) so it's extra sweet to get the victory, knock Chelsea out of the cup (oh yeah they were the holders) and in such a huge game in our season.

Two first-half goals were the difference, both headers from fine crosses into the box, first from Herrera and then Pogba. In the second-half Chelsea threw everything at us but our defensive organisation was outstanding. We were under pressure again and again but every player defended resolutely and Romero had no saves of note to make. Really encouraging signs to see us defending so well after some of the shambolic defensive displays we've seen this season.

So we're into the FA Cup quarter-finals, with Manchester City the only team in the top 6 left in the draw. Let's see what the upcoming draw brings...

Fecking great performance after midweek's disappointment. As shite as Chelsea were, we were well worth the win.

Our best performance at Stamford Bridge in like 20 years.

Finally the forum is back. Don't know why it has the habit of going down after every match.

Amazing night and brilliant stuff from Pog, Rash, Smalling, Lindelof and Ander.

Defensive masterclass second half. Didn’t give them a sniff. Compare that to some of the sieges we endured under Mourinho. Only gave them five shots and none on target. Ole deserves a lot of credit for that one.

Herrera and Rashford were superb. Pogba popped up with real quality.

Not dominant of possession but very much like what PSG did to us. We couldn't land a punch on PSG and Chelsea couldn't get near us.

Great win at a very hard place to win.

Every single player on the pitch did really well. Mata almost put Jorginho out of the game - while both Lukaku and especially Sanchez worked their socks off. If anyone complain about a single player after this game - they should go watch cricket or something

Looking over my shoulder.
Herrera, what a man! He was literally everywhere. Wherever the play was, there he was to snuff out the danger and to start a counter. It's not like he was only a destroyer. He found small pockets of space to play the ball into as well. A phenomenal performance from a great player!

He can have the job for not only winning at Stamford Bridge but for keeping a clean sheet and barely letting them have a sniff in the second half. So much better Utd teams have gone there and got nothing and played abject.

Brilliant defensive performance. They didn't even create a meaningful chance in the second half. Herrera was outstanding.

We could have done with more composure in possession, something that was missing against PSG as well. We should have been more threatening on the break in the second half, we could have wrapped this game up earlier against this abject Chelsea.

But still, winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge, in a thoroughly deserved way - I'll take that every day.

Brilliant performance throughout, not one bad player in red.

Tough away leg in the draw.
